People can now get the equivalent of a £71,000 salary on benefits. Working people on £30,000 or £40,000 are asking themselves, why do I bother working so hard? This is not sustainable.

Why are the NHS waiting lists going down? Because people are removed, and they are being paid to remove them. £33 per patient. That was £11,583,000 paid to do NOTHING just in March. That's nearly £150m a year, enough to hire 30,000 Doctors.

Labour are descending into chaos. And meanwhile the country is not being governed. That’s why the Conservatives set out an Alternative Kings Speech - our fully costed plans to start fixing Britain’s problems and get Britain working again.
Conservatives@Conservatives

There is an alternative to this Labour chaos. A better future where we cut spending, lower taxes and deliver cheaper bills. The @Conservatives team breaks down the Alternative King’s Speech ⬇️

Is the benefits system too generous? JCB chairman Lord Bamford has warned Britain "can’t get away" with people receiving up to £60,000 a year in benefits, saying soaring welfare costs risk a public ‘revolt’. Is he right? Is the benefits system out of control?

@__RiverSong @ABrokenBattery @AndrewG76201347 Same here as I attended the sleep clinic as have sleep apnoea too. It just gets worse when you have reverse sleep pattern and they try to force it back, it flips back again of its own accord to your normal. Makes you feel dreadful too

@ABrokenBattery @AndrewG76201347 Tried sleep hygiene for months and my ME insomnia got worse and worse. It’s been (and still is) one the most recommended things nevertheless. It’s hard to explain to ppl that what helps most worsens us.

Sleep hygiene can be just as “damaging as graded exercise” for patients with #MECFS Dr Nigel Speight describes a girl with severe sleep reversal. She walked into hospital and was carried out a month later needing to be tube fed.

@Caymanguy1234 @unojen_wood @ligomersall @KemiBadenoch You would not earn enough points on mobility to get the higher rate, thus the car access with tennis elbow alone, no matter what Google says based on reports in the press. Look at the descriptors. If you have tennis elbow aswell as another condition yes maybe.

Warning! NHS is aggressively pushing their NHS App to everyone who has not yet downloaded it! Started today. I have had both a text and a call from my GP this afternoon, masquerading as a survey and asking me to go online and download the app! I refused. Digital ID push???

@jamesbackagain @RachelD1892 @LadyJLondon If she was strong, she would sack Helen Whately for spreading misinformation but she doesn’t as it fits a narrative she supports on welfare. Spreading misinformation involving vulnerable groups of people isn’t a trait id want in my party

Yes. Not because she is a conservative candidate, but because she’s a strong, clear leader who has set out a clear plan in detail. For example, not just stating she would leave the ECHR but how she would do it. Perhaps it’s because I’m older and know of the consistent failures of Labour over the years. I just don’t trust Farage.

I never stopped I was waiting to see what Reform would actually do for British citizens but they are failing miserably because they don’t care about anything but their egos Restore is still just a concept so hasn’t earnt its stripes yet either New Conservatives are forcing U-turns on harmful bills and Kemi is building a strong team. It’s a no-brainer for me

@Helen_Whately The story, if you tell the truth is fraud, claimant error and admin errors. Be interesting to find out in what proportions. But you keep spreading & fueling negativity towards welfare claimants without full facts Helen, you are showing the nation you’ve got nothing else as an MP

Almost £10 billion of benefits fraud and error last year…So much for Labour’s promised crackdown. The welfare system is being abused and gamed - but all we get from the Government is empty words and zero action.

@Helen_Whately Seen as Helen doesn’t post the truth about how mobility points are gained, I will, off gov website, section 2.4 activities 11 and 12. You may notice it doesn’t cover tennis elbow or acne! Try showing integrity Helen, it’s expected as an MP! gov.uk/government/pub…

'The Conservatives should withdraw from this race and give a clear run to Reform UK.' Reform MP Andrew Rosindell says the Tories should withdraw from the upcoming Makerfield by-election to block Andy Burnham being elected, which would allow him to run for the Labour leadership.
