Dental dx within 12mo of THA are associated with increased medical complications and greater implant-related complications, including PJIs. Delaying invasive dental procedures for 12mo after THA may be advisable. arthroplastyjournal.org/article/S0883-… #VA by Dr. David Deckey

@alfarojMD @ArthroscopyJ Diagnosis is challenging. LA and/or steroid injection into the iliopsoas tendon sheath can be useful esp if pain resolves. Anterior cup prominence for malposition on cross-table lateral radiographs or CT can help confirm the diagnosis in @PerthSportsDoc

@myorthodoc Single cortex as well. Onlay. With all suture anchors. Feel less anxious about PIN that way although retractors can do just as harm if too aggressive.

#orthotwitter when you fix a distal Bíceps do you prefer placing endobutton through one cortex or both? I’ve been doing single cortex. I feel it lessons the likelihood of a posterior interosseous nerve injury. Thoughts?

@BOSTAA_UK @drneiljain A good tip 👌🏽 which I always employ as by the time you realise you're too close to the condyle, it's probably too late. Well ingrained on Fellowship by @PerthSportsDoc Although I leave the reamer attached to drill hand piece 🙂

Tip #12 from Mr Jain @drneiljain - Docking technique for AM portal drilling. If you are worried the reamer is too close to the femoral condyle, pass the wire as usual first. Pull it into the notch and then introduce the reamer independently (not attached to the drill hand piece)
