I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

@JoshFG You’re not being honest with the public. They’re not getting rid of all the scrutiny boards, are they? They’re running scrutiny through one overarching board. The agenda documents are on the Council website if anyone wants to fact check you.

One of Reform’s first acts in charge of Calderdale has been to get rid of the scrutiny boards that hold leadership to account. It’s part of the job of a back bench councillor - are they afraid of scrutiny or do their back benchers not want to do the work? halifaxcourier.co.uk/news/politics/…

@owenjonesjourno What you call anti-trans is just normal people who’s beliefs are grounded in reality. They don’t want their daughters sharing changing rooms with hairy ass blokes with tits. You’re so removed from the average person on the street, you can’t even see it.

Britain is now only just above Russia and Hungary on trans rights. We are below Armenia, Romania, Kosovo, Turkey, Serbia and Belarus. The anti-trans movement has, for now, won a decisive victory in Britain. It will not last. This historic injustice will be rectified.

A cause for national shame. This is the Rainbow Map for LGBTI+ rights across Europe. Until 2015, the UK was top. We've now collapsed down the rankings - and are the worst in Western Europe. We're now near Albania.

@JoshFG No one should be “leading beyond your authority”. What do you mean by this?

Being a successful minister is using your role to achieve outcomes that align with your values - often leading beyond your authority. When James ran housing in Islington he built more social housing than anywhere else in London. I’m excited to see him as Healthy Secretary
James Murray@jamesmurray_ldn

Deeply honoured to be appointed by the Prime Minister as Health & Social Care Secretary. Huge thanks to @RachelReevesMP for my time as part of her fantastic team. Can't wait to get started and continue @wesstreeting's brilliant work on such a critical mission for our country.

@SisterVigil @kadoubleryn @MichelleDewbs Agree. It was sad for my uncle but he was a grown adult in employment so he had the means to live out but liked the comfy life. Social housing has to be for the most needy.

I don’t think I understand this story… Are the association trying to evict 2 five year olds & a 10 year old from their home? Or, are adult descents trying to move their family (ie themselves & kids) into this home, because the grandparents died? If the former, outrageous💔 If the latter, why would any adult think they can just move into a home that isn’t theirs & if anyone dare say no, a mob will descend? Also, how can you be ‘displaced’ from a home you don’t live in? (The lady in the video says the kids lived in temporary accommodation). As I say, I don’t think I’m understanding this story… 🤔
London Renters Union@LDNRentersUnion

Today, members in Tower Hamlets stopped a family being evicted from their home of 40 years! Housing association Gateway are refusing to pass the tenancy down after the family's parents passed away. Outrageous! We will resist forced displacement every time!

@kadoubleryn @MichelleDewbs That’s exactly what happened to my uncle when my grandmother died. It’s standard procedure if you’re not on the tenancy, as far as I know.

@MichelleDewbs Must’ve been 3 generations living there. The housing association is not allowing the tenancy to be inherited.

Protests up and down the country against migrant hotels have resulted in no action from the government, yet he claims “Muslims” were behind all these conservative influencers being banned. Double standards and hypocrisy infuriate me, in whatever direction. This is chilling.
Roshan M Salih@RmSalih

Tommy, we have absolutely decimated your speakers list for your march on Saturday. Please be aware that Muslims got this done, especially @5Pillarsuk which got the bandwagon rolling. It was my pleasure.

Working-class voters are sick and tired of being called racist just because they love the nation and want secure borders. Any politician who doesn’t understand this is doomed, says Brendan O’Neill buff.ly/WJSeCJJ

We will block far right agitators from traveling to Britain this weekend for a march designed to confront and provoke our diverse capital city. We will not allow people to come to the UK, threaten our communities and spread hate on our streets.

@drhingram They don’t give a shit about working class (and possibly white) women and children. They couldn’t make it any more clear how much they despise us. The most incredible thing is they don’t think we can see the contempt they hold for us 🥴

No mention from Starmer of the elephant in the room that is the safety of our women and children on the streets. Completely ignored. Personally I just want to be reassured that I can walk home safely in the evening. If not, I’ll stick with the parties that are tackling it.

@GoodwinMJ Most of the immigrants in Spain are from South America where they amazingly speak very good Spanish so that's why they find it easy to find jobs .

No surprise Angela Rayner loves Spain. Immigration is the only driver of Spain’s population growth. Immigrants account for 90% of all new jobs in Spain & are displacing native Spaniards. And Spain just legalised 500,000 illegal migrants. Get ready for a Rayner government.
