Last day of the heatwave for most of Wales today. 28°C in Hawarden, Flintshire. More sunshine but cloud in the SW spreading northwards. Low cloud and sea fog over the Irish Sea will affect some western coasts of Wales. Foggy in St Justians, Pembrokeshire this morning and cooler.

26.9C was the high today at Threave in Dumfries and Galloway; the highest temperature recorded so far in 2026, making it Scotland's warmest day of the year so far! Not as high tomorrow, but Thursday sees very warm conditions widely, and we may get close to 27C in north Highland.
