@IamHappyHiker @SkyNews To qualify for the genetic testing for breast cancer even with family history is not that easy and I was denied, just to let you know it's not a walk in the park. Privately it costs £500 🫣 But yes everyone with family history should qualify for it. Prevention is much cheaper

@SkyNews Women have had screening for breast cancer for years. Why should men not have a similar facility? A PSA test has potentially saved my life. Only today I met someone who had his request for a PSA test refused by his GP. Why? Insist especially if in a risk category.

@SkyNews How come (until recently) I'd never heard of or met anyone who ever suffered from this condition, nor died from it. But somehow I should be afraid of it? Fear is being used to convince men they need this. It's a $Bbillion industry, US companies like $EXAS are coining it in.

@moses_67 @SkyNews I believe it would be the same as with BRCA testing, you have to have family history and your mother or grandmother that tested positive for the BRCA gene.

@SkyNews How will they establish who has the genetic variant? Test every male in the uk between 45 and 61? Or just not bother and only offer screening to those already known to have a genetic variant?

Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, now stands formally accused of concealing evidence relating to grooming gangs within the capital. Reports suggest he was made aware of cases in which young girls were raped and threatened, yet repeatedly denied that such atrocities were occurring. If these allegations prove true, then every Member of Parliament who voted against the amendment calling for a national inquiry must be held to account. The victims have waited long enough. Justice demands reckoning… and if the claims stand, Sadiq Khan is not merely negligent, but complicit.

Two of my constituents have been detained by Israel, following the illegal interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla. I have written to the Foreign Secretary to ask what steps the UK government is taking to secure their immediate and safe release.

@UKblitzkrieg @jimthegiant That's not true they said it will be replaced by 5 year renewable visa. The visa paper said if you claimed benefits before you will be automatically denied that visa (which could be statutory maternity pay or child benefit) Lot of contradicting in the press release as well

If you can’t get ILR after 5 years Many, who have a choice, wont want to live on endless spousal visas in a country hostile toward immigrants. The cost, the headache and uncertainty that it brings for many international couples who are mobile won’t be worth it.
JimmyTheGiant@jimthegiant

Effectively any brit, myself included, who has a foreign partner will likely have to move out of the UK. That’ll be a lot of talented young mobile individuals lost. The irony that a foreign born person marrying a brit isn’t enough to ‘assimilate’ by reforms standards.

@Steven_Swinford It seems clear to me. Only British citizens will be able to access the welfare state. Those that have already gained ILR will be able to stay but won’t get welfare. From 2020 ish (date to be confirmed) all those with or without ILR with have them revoked, replaced with visa

Confused messaging around Nigel Farage migration crackdown Farage said explicitly that under a Reform government 'welfare will be for UK citizens only, not foreign nationals' But Zia Yusuf, Reform UK's head of policy, subsequently clarified that the policy will not apply to 4.12million EU citizens with settled status, who account for 9.7% of Universal Credit claimants He said that a Reform government would open negotiations with the EU about welfare claims by those with settled status As my colleague @Smyth_Chris points out, that means the policy is limited to non-EU migrants with indefinite leave to remain, who account for just 2.7% of Universal Credit claimants That means there are likely to be significant questions about how much the policy will actually save

Hey, @nytcooking, medovyk isn’t Russian — it is a dish first mentioned in a 1957 cookbook published in Kyiv, Ukraine. Similar desserts can be found in the Czech, Lithuanian and Polish cuisines. (Unless, of course, you tend to add a sprinkling of war crimes to your recipe.)

That’s what happens when people ignore the chance to do this reasonably, for years we’ve been trying to get this stopped, but it’s just been allowed to continue and increase. Now this is what’s going to happen rather than moderately as it should have a decade ago. The longer it’s left, the worse it will get

They've been playing you for a fool. Ever heard of Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)? It's the golden ticket the political class hands out after five years, giving migrants permanent residency and a lifetime pass to the British taxpayer's wallet. The Tories' "Boriswave" put millions on the fast track to get it, setting us up for a £234 BILLION bill. This isn't immigration; it's a state-sponsored scam. While our own people struggle, the Uniparty is preparing to grant 800,000 migrants permanent access to our benefits system. Farage's plan to abolish ILR entirely—and revoke it for those who have it—isn't just a policy. It's an emergency brake on our national decline.

1 in 6 people on Universal Credit is a foreign national. What they don't say is that this means 1.3 MILLION non-citizens are being supported by the British taxpayer. They’ll call you a bigot for noticing. They'll say it's "complex." It's not. The rule should be simple: you come to Britain to contribute, not to claim. Our safety net is for our people.
