Not only is this brilliant, but it’s also a reasonable prediction of what all weather forecasts might look like in the not-distant-enough future.

🎭 REFORM UK: THE EMERGENCY ZOOM CALL( satire)
Nigel: Right. Everyone calm down. I have one simple question.
Is it game over?
Lee Anderson: Not if you let me take control of communications.
Everyone: NO!
Richard Tice: We need discipline. Professionalism. A clear strategy.
Lee: Richard, you pretended to be a chicken on national television.
Tice: It was political theatre.
Lee: You flapped your arms.
Tice: At least I didn’t turn the party into a weekly bacon-bap channel.
Lee: Those videos get views.
Robert Jenrick: Could we perhaps discuss the investigations?
Nigel: Absolutely not.
Suella Braverman: The real problem is that Reform has become too moderate.
Danny Kruger: Too moderate?
Suella: I have already drafted a statement demanding that the English Channel be moved closer to France.
Andrew Rosindell: I joined this party because I was promised stability.
Everyone stops and stares at Andrew.
Sarah Pochin: Does anyone actually know what our policy is?
Silence.
Nigel: Sarah, this is an emergency meeting. Please don’t complicate it with policy.
Jenrick: We need to reassure donors.
Tice: Which donors?
Nigel: Nobody say any names.
Lee: I know a bloke who can lend us a camera, a gazebo and an industrial-sized grill.
Suella: I should be leader.
Jenrick: You said that in the last three meetings.
Suella: Because nobody has acted on it.
Tice: Nigel remains leader.
Nigel: Correct.
Lee: Even if he loses to a bin?
Nigel: It is not a bin. It is the establishment disguised as a bin.
Danny Kruger: Perhaps we need a period of reflection and moral renewal.
Lee: Can we film it?
Sarah: Where is Zia?
Nigel: Resigned.
Tice: Came back.
Jenrick: Resigned again?
Nigel: Nobody is entirely sure.
Suella begins presenting her leadership slides.
Tice tries to remove her from the meeting.
Lee changes his background to a giant bacon bap.
Jenrick demands everyone declare who paid for their laptops.
Rosindell quietly searches: “Can an MP defect back twice?”
Nigel: STOP!
We are Reform UK.
We do not panic.
We do not fight among ourselves.
We blame the establishment, announce a press conference and hope something else happens by lunchtime.
Sarah: So it isn’t game over?
Nigel: Of course not.
It’s only game over when the camera crew leaves.
“Host has ended the meeting.”

@KevinASchofield You can see the hate for Reform and especially Nigel in the left’s responses to posts like this.

An MP messages: “Each MP is afforded personal security at their advice surgery and constituency engagements should they wish.
“We’re also able to make use of physical security measures at our homes and offices - including cameras, door strengthening devices, and alarm systems.
“And we’re able to carry personal alarms with us, which are provided by Parliament, and can be activated to alert a call centre - and the police - should we find ourselves in a dangerous situation.”

Real fury in Speaker Lindsay Hoyle's office tonight at Zia Yusuf's incendiary claim that parliament, the government and the police do not care about Reform MPs' safety. huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/commons-…

@dearaunty @LizKershawDJ Come visit for yourself instead of bashing a long and proud tradition that you know f*ck all about.
English

@fillypepper @LizKershawDJ I like how Brits abroad aren't supposed to comment on UK stuff from other places.
English

@fillypepper @LizKershawDJ I guess the vid missed the bit where the Bhagwa Dhwaj, or the Star of David flags were *included* then?
English

@FellaLeeds Fantastic, it’s not easy but now you’ve got a reason and a goal so you’re half way there already. Good luck 🤞🏻
English

@wesstreeting @DailyMirror @andyburnham @fbunational No thanks, I’d rather cut it into squares and use it as bog paper.

@redrumlisa Non mining towns, Black British delegations, Lesbians and Gays, Hindu, Muslim and Jewish communities, all supported the miners' cause and helped to feed families.
Community and belonging is what is celebrated.
English

I'm from a mining community on my street just my street - my friends Dad killed at the pit, next door but one neighbour killed down the pit, a lad in the year above me paralysed from the neck down, and my grandad died of the pit dust on his lungs at 58. And these fucking idiots are celebrating what? Just fuck off.

Fantastic to see the immense Palestinian contribution to the mining community being recognised. Durham Miners’ Gala today.
Bestwood Village, England 🇬🇧 English

@therealmarra I didn’t see any steel drums there this year but there has been at other times. Lots of people of different cultures on the old race course. Maybe you should go one time instead of speculating from one video of one banner and one band.
English

@fillypepper Where’s the celebration of the contribution afro-Caribbean miners made…..not a single note played on a steel drum 😮
English

Another fantastic day at Durham Big Meeting aka Durham Miners Gala… 140th year
#ReformNotWelcome
English

@dearaunty @LizKershawDJ The gala is about inclusion and remembering the past. Lots of ex-miners families there who remember Hindu, Muslim and Jewish communities who supported the miners' cause and helped to feed those very families.
English

@fillypepper @LizKershawDJ 'Bob Crow era' i would be on board with.
The nut jobs - this incarnation of the Labour party, i parted company with after one term of Blair.

English

Disgusted to see this hijacking of the Durham Miners Gala. And they are probably #NetZero zealots too ie. anti coal mining.

@barryjbutler @AlexandraResso1 @andyburnham They’re not completely moving, they’re splitting the Whitehall between London and Manchester, which will require duplicated security, surveillance, and technical infrastructure, costing millions and taking away money from other services.
Stop pretending it won’t.
English
@fillypepper @AlexandraResso1 @andyburnham A govt office moving out of a location that carries a range of costs is, ipso facto, "saving" the amount involved.
The same rule applies to businesses moving from high cost locations to cheaper ones. They don't pay the high costs any more, they pay lower ones.
English

I bet the Greater Manchester voters are thrilled to learn that for a year @andyburnham was plotting to abandon them after entrusting them and vowing to serve them as Mayor for a full term.

English

@dearaunty @LizKershawDJ Not sure what you’re getting at, Bob Crowe was pro social justice, equality, and civil rights, if you think that’s nuts that says more about you.
Bob Crowe “IF YOU FIGHT, YOU WON'T ALWAYS WIN. IF YOU DON'T FIGHT, YOU WILL ALWAYS LOSE”
English

@fillypepper @LizKershawDJ I was thinking of Bob Crow era labour voters - would they now be pro-Palestine/trans/net zero nuts? I say that because those views all seem to go hand in hand.
English

@dearaunty @LizKershawDJ Yes, lots of ex-miners and their families there. “Ex” because there’s no pits open.
