So far the hardest problem with having Typescript frontend and Go backend is that there is no Zod for Go. And we are heavily using Zod for our new pipeline and module configs. We're currently using go-playground/validator and encoding/json with a ton of custom code on top. And tons and tons of json fixtures that we run against TS and Go 🤨

@BenjDicken Does planetscale allow transactions yet? I’d love to use it but the transaction mode was such a killer

PSA to my Postgres people: use a connection pooler. Incredible article on when and why to use PgBouncer. Includes a great explanation of how increasing direct connections leads to more contention → degraded performance. (+ benchmarks too!)

I created a hypothetical feature for @Flighty that would allow you to forward a flight confirmation email to an email address & it would auto add it to flighty. Flighty doesn't have an API (cmon guys) so I made it format and post it to Slack instead. 🧵 on how its built:

who's building this: a landing page that changes depending on the profile of the user like where they came to the site from, what they have searched previously, and what is the most likely thing the want to see to convert? i feel like someone has already built this. but who?

You’re in a backend interview. They ask: “Design a globally distributed configuration propagation service that pushes config updates to tens of thousands of servers within seconds, with versioning, rollback, and strong delivery guarantees.” Here’s how to approach it:

Hey @ShopifyDevs, has anyone switched their Node app from using server side app scopes to the .toml based scopes? Are there any changes that need to happen on the server? Or do you just publish the .toml file?

Inertia.js is evolving 🚀 The second batch of improvements have been merged: - Persistent properties - Exclude properties from partial responses - New `$request->inertia()` IDE helper If you were to pick, which one you'd love to see next – Link Preloading or Deferred Props?

Where’s somewhere I can go to actually learn more about the causes/explanations behind the Israel/Palestine situation from an objective point of view? Everything I read always has an idealogical skew or is surface level broad statements with no actual information. I feel like I never actually properly inform myself on it because I feel like everything has a spin or an angle, and when you read anything on one side, the alg keeps spitting information and tweets out in support of that one side.

The Laravel community is innovating constantly. There's no venture capital dollars driving hype for an eventual IPO, it's just the community building awesome things. With that, I say goodbye and thank you to Homebrew, as I am now all-in on Laravel Herd 🤩 herd.laravel.com

Local development with PHP is simple again 🥳 - Laravel Herd for local environment - HELO for email testing - DBngin for Redis & MySQL - Tinkerwell for debugging This is like the old days when we were all using MAMP & WAMP. A new generation of developers will benefit from this.

@t3dotgg 1. Weirdly you can’t swipe them away - hitting the x for me fixes it 2. I think the cut off is related to the script I sent you - you need to set auto hide to false not true
