@ShashiTharoor I would mount a similarly robust defense of the Kesar mango against any and all comparison!

Every coin has 2 sides. Very happy seeing Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag do well. On the flip side, saddens me to see their U19 WC winning captain Prithvi Shaw struggle. Shaw had the whole country talking about him a few years back man. 500+ runs in a single Harris Shield game. U19 WC winning captain. Hundred on his test debut. Everything was going well for him until that Australia 2020 series yaar. The series that kick-started Gill's career also destroyed Shaw's career. 9 month doping ban, injuries, ex-cricketers publicly shaming him with no context at all. His character was destroyed which led to him going unsold in the IPL too. Glad that DC took him this year. Glad that he got a 200 for Maharashtra and did well in the domestic season. I genuinely hope he gets a game (hopefully more) for DC this season. There is something about him man. Eyes don't lie. Comeback for the ages! #IPL2026

"If i am made to feel like I need to prove my worth and value, I am not in that space" What kind of statement even is this? You averaged under 30 over the last five years, and even then the team management did not drop you. They at least gave you clarity that now you need to score runs and prove yourself. which is the bare minimum in professional sport. And that upset you? Unreal Kohli sahab

@rishpardikar Fair enough but monsoon almost touches North by the end of June. All india averaged rainfall graphs have a clear rise from June to September. Infact, extending the season beyond September is often discussed more than including May

Not sure why we consider Kerala as the marker for onset of SW monsoons in the country. The season actually begins in the Andaman and Nicobar islands

@rishpardikar I grew up in Gujarat and May used to be the hottest. Only after moving to Bengaluru, I realised May isn't the hottest month. Also, even in Kerala I feel May is hotter.

@SrihariS99 Yes, true. Although May is not peak summer for the whole of India. South often sees a peak in April. And as someone whose birthday is end of May, I have observed many many years of rainfall on my birthday

@rishpardikar This will be absent if we start from May itself. May is peak summer and rainfall over mainland is very less.

@rishpardikar Well that's because the spread of rainfall over india is quite quick once the onset happens over Kerala.. for statistical purpose, it is convenient to have our monsoon season start in June. This way, June rainfall stats will show robust country wide characteristics.

I think it's problematic that we are using Tilak's good looks or success yesterday to counter colorism. Colorism is never okay & should never be normalised. Even if Tilak scored a duck yesterday. Even if he isn't known for his good looks.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar's success is like a comforting hug. With the usage of skill, intelligence and the willingness to achieve consistency through repetition, he is an inspiration to any person working in any field not just cricket.

If @narendramodi is urging Indians to work from home to conserve fuel then his government should pass an order directing companies to allow work from home for a year. What does he mean by urging people to work from home? Does he think this decision is at the people’s discretion?

Why do people think this is a bad thing? literally every country has a sport of the masses which is followed/played by the majority of the population in India it's cricket, cricket is not the reason why we suck at other sports, lack proper infra in other sports is
Bikash Chand Katoch@BikashCkatoch

i worked in indian sports field for 7 years and i accepted truth In India sports means cricket, whether you like it or hate it, That is not changing atleast in next 20 years, we may get 10-15 olympic medals in 1 future olympic edition but india's obssession with cricket will stay

@Gracioushoomann @SrihariS99 @ifOnlyKantala I can understand other sports. I watch badminton, fencing, F1, football and tennis, apart from cricket whenever I feel like. But, I won't be watching badminton just because an Indian player is playing in it. The game needs to be entertaining.

Indian athletes don't have a winning mentality, they sulk and cry everytime, Except cricketers none of the sportsperson achieved something, hardly 2% has achieved something They didn't win any medal but still expect respect from people, bhai kyu support kare? Kuch karo to sahi support karne jaisa Yeh desh ke liye khelne wali gimmick chhod do bhai, sab apne matlab ke liye khelte hai
