Jordan Peterson: "You're underestimating how much you can improve" "If the gap between you and your ideal is so great that it paralyzes you, you've created a dragon you don't have the tools to master. So you have to scale the dragon down to size. You want to scale it down until it's a size you're willing to move toward, however small that is." Jordan explains the math behind growth: "There's a gospel principle called the Matthew Principle: to those who have everything, more will be given. It implies that reality works like this: when you're moving up, it's exponential. When you're going down, it's downhill, then cliff. So it doesn't matter how small your first steps are, even if they're shameful in their size. Because if you're disciplined, you'll speed up extraordinarily rapidly. The ball doesn't roll in a linear fashion. It rolls in a geometric fashion." He shares his own story: "When I first started going to the gym, I was 23. I weighed 135 pounds at 6'1". Very thin. I smoked like mad, drank too much. I wasn't in good shape. I went to this swim class, it was me, a really overweight young guy, and seven women over 70. They could outswim me. It was pretty damn humiliating." Jordan continues: "Then I started lifting weights. I'd be underneath the bench press trying to lift 75 pounds, and some muscle-headed bastard would come over and tell me how to do it. It's embarrassing. Lots of people won't go to the gym because they're embarrassed about how they look. But you start at the bottom where you're weak. If you want to rectify what's weak, you have to accept that the first steps are going to be painful." The result: "It took me about 3 years, but I stopped smoking, stopped drinking, and gained 40 pounds of muscle. I got a lot more physically confident. A lot more coordinated. Then I could dance, so that was better when I was going out in graduate school." He explains why self-reflection matters: "If your plans didn't work out, sit down and say: 'Even if the world was conspiring against me and my failure was 95% the fault of external circumstances, what did I do that wasn't as good as it could have been? Where did I fail to look?' To ask that question, you have to want the answer. That's what it means to knock, to ask, to seek. You have to want to know." Jordan concludes: "One of the reasons you confess your sins is because you want to discover where you're insufficient. It's painful, but the advantage is you can rectify the error. And then as you move forward, you're stronger."

Hello @Stripe, My name is Gideon Nova Kwikiriza from Uganda. Ideally, this is a request that should come through official government channels, but unfortunately that has not yet happened. I’m therefore reaching out as a citizen and member of the creator community. There are many creators on X in Uganda who qualify for creator revenue sharing but are currently unable to access their earnings because Stripe services are not yet available in our country. Introducing Stripe to Uganda would unlock opportunities for thousands of digital creators and entrepreneurs who are already contributing to the global digital economy. It would also encourage more creators to monetize responsibly, increase engagement on the platform, and ultimately grow the ecosystem in a way that benefits both creators and Stripe. Uganda has a rapidly growing digital community, and access to global payment infrastructure like Stripe would be a transformative step for our creators. I sincerely hope you will consider expanding your services to Uganda. Thank you. 🙏 @elonmusk

Watoto Church is a good church, leaving other factors constant. In Uganda,it offers some of the best opportunities to build meaningful connections. More than just a place of worship,Watoto Church is strongly family oriented and functions more like a community than simply a church. You can choose it as your social circle and you will thank me later.

VIDEO: “You must work hard because nothing comes for free,” Anglican Church of Uganda Archbishop Sam Kaziimba Mugalu told the congregation on Sunday. He urged Ugandans to stop asking for free things, warning that such habits can cheapen their public image. Full story: bit.ly/3NifHo2 📹 Ronald Kabanza

I met this lady in Mukono last month. She introduced herself as ‘Nakimuli’, and we got jazzing. Within minutes, I learnt was originally from the Netherlands, came here as a missionary, & then fell in love with Ugandans bse we’re friendly. She also loved our weather, the everyday kavuyo? that was a plus in her view. She loved it! She wore a kitenge, had a Ugandan-made necklace and all. The only “Muzungu” thing about her were he sandals, the sandals with strings that bazungu love. She also told me about her NGO, and the children she takes care of, most of whom are PWDs, or Orphans. It’s no doubt she gave hope to many, and did a lot with @watotochurch - as I learnt later. Today, she sadly passed on in Mukono! Surely, heaven is receiving an angel returning from a tour of service, a service many will miss because she did it so well! 🙏🏾

No, England still keeps the 5th CL spot for 2026/27 even if every English team gets knocked out of the Europa League and Conference League (and CL) right now. The 2025/26 seasonal coefficient already has England at ~200+ total points / 9 teams = ~22.3 average. Germany sits at ~123 / 7 = ~17.6, Spain ~139 / 8 = ~17.4. The gap can't be closed this late in the season—even with zero more English points. It's locked.

I watched the public interviews conducted by Kenya’s Judicial Service Commission for candidates seeking appointment to the High Court and Court of Appeal. The transparency, scrutiny, and seriousness of the process clearly show an intent to get the best people onto the bench. In Uganda, the process remains largely opaque. Could it be the reason our jurisprudence isn’t growing? @elisonk
