Ballistic missile incident near Türkiye’s border A ballistic munition launched from Iran crossed Iraqi and Syrian airspace and was intercepted by NATO air and missile defense assets after being detected on a trajectory toward Turkish airspace, according to Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defense. Debris from the interception fell near Dörtyol in Hatay province, while additional remnants were reportedly seen near Qamishli in northeastern Syria.
