Alan I live in Victoria. I hear these stories. Patients here must request MAID. I have never personally seen it simply offered to anyone in acute admissions. In fact we get consulted to offer hope after strokes, spine injuries and amputations. I don’t deny this story but I know some of these scenarios and those doctors absolutely did not offer such a thing.

I had a loved one in my family choose MAiD when he was in the last months of painful bladder cancer. I see a lot of people on this platform calling it immoral. The only immoral thing I see is making people suffer when they choose to die on their own terms with dignity.
