@Stansun22 @mikepat711 How fast FSD is going is irrelevant. It should be in the right lane unless passing, or if slower than other traffic. People like you cause a hell of a lot of road rage on our highways.

FSD V14.3.1 camps the left lane and gets passed on the right by multiple vehicles.
So weird to me that despite how intelligent the car is during so many scenarios, it has so much trouble with this very simple thing. I still feel like 14.1 was the best highway iteration ever. 14.3.1 seems overall worse than 14.2.2.5 so far.

Perhaps I didn’t express myself accurately. Based on the video, FSD was only slower than the car overtaking on the right, but faster than the truck on the right. Speed is a relative concept, so I wanted to ask: what was the speed limit at that time, and how much was FSD exceeding it?
If it is neither speeding nor slower than the truck ahead, then it is a problem. Otherwise, I think it is a matter of personal preference.

In this video, FSD is clearly faster than the truck on the right. So, do you think FSD should first quickly catch up to the rear of the truck, then change lanes to the left, complete the overtaking, and then move back to the right? Honestly, based on this video, I think it's just a difference in driving preferences.

The question is: At this moment, how much was FSD speeding? And what was the speed of the car overtaking you on the right?
If FSD is driving at the speed limit, then it shouldn’t be in the left passing lane. However, if it’s faster than the cars on the right, but still gets overtaken from the right by much faster cars, that doesn’t seem like a big issue to me.

While I agree with Chris, this 100% needs to be fixed, and I too will always disengage if FSD does this. In an autonomous world, do we even need No Right on Red?
FSD will take a No Right on Red but will do it safely. No Right on Red only exists because of terrible human drivers.

The P7 is the best model adapted for VLA 2.0.
Advantages: High traffic efficiency, well-suited to China's environment, meaning it dares to negotiate space with motor vehicles and pedestrians.
Disadvantages: Poor lateral perception capability. For example, when a vehicle suddenly appears from outside the field of view and intrudes from the side, XPeng's reaction speed is not fast enough. Once at night, VLA 2.0 was turning right, and an electric bicycle was going straight. VLA 2.0 failed to recognize it and nearly collided.

It is disappointing that FSD has not yet been trained on Chinese data, and its adaptation to local traffic rules is quite poor compared to other autonomous driving vehicles in China. On the positive side, it is much safer than all of them.
I'm not sure if Elon knows this—from the perspective of the average Chinese consumer, FSD is seen as very inadequate. 1. Autonomous driving in other vehicles is almost free. 2. Their adaptation to traffic rules is relatively good. Public may not realize how safe FSD actually is, based on simple test drives and online publicity, the consensus among many is that FSD in China is very poor. This is very unfavorable for Tesla.

Hi guys, I have a question. As I mentioned, I am flying to China next week and I have rented a XPeng vehicle to test VLA2.0. The vehicle is equipped with 2 Turing chips. There are variants with 3 but I could not find one.
Technically I understand that 2 Turing chips are enough, 3 is only needed if you want triple redundancy like in planes.
But does anybody have information if there is a functional difference between the 2-chips and 3-chips version (except in a HW failure event, which never happens)? I want to make sure that what I will test is functionally the best that XPeng can offer today.
I will welcome any information! Thanks in advance.

So the best Level 2 Point-to-Point system I’ve used is still FSD v14
However that’s not available in China (they’re stuck on v13)
XPeng VLA 2.0 is very good, even if it got off to a rocky start - it has a unique character, very smooth and slow, just meanders its way nicely through traffic.
