This weekend I rebuilt my personal website - first time using Cursor outside of work on something small - first time using Vercel over AWS Amplify - I'm on free tiers for both, they seem generous - rebuilding a personal website sounds like a daunting task, but it's not with AI👇

@elitepax Marketing well is not easy. Anyone who thinks it is probably is missing out big time. It's a ton of work to get right. The product is also hard. Absolutely. But don't discount marketing

There are two critically important elements to my business (and probably most businesses): 1. An actually good product 2. A convincing marketing strategy If you don't have 1 then you can't have 2 (lying doesn't count) and if you don't have 2 you won't have customers.

About to start my image optimization arc and I’m gonna be SO annoying about it. Sorry in advance. Fun fact: less than 10% of websites use optimized image formats

@t3dotgg I would really like to know a simple way to get it "mostly" right, I usually compress images a bit using any online tool and then turn those images into a modern format (usually webp) it has failed me only once, I got a image from the designer that was almost 300 mbs lol

@alephao @t3dotgg I feel like it'd be more convenient if you export it in one size and format, and the tool does the rest

@t3dotgg I automated using multiple img formats and sizes on my websites and is pretty straightforward: - Export 1x, 1.5x, 2x and 3x, jpg/png - Run a webpc script to convert all to webp - Run a tool to generate typesafe code to use the images w/ picture element and srcset with everything
