There is literally no need to move from Hillsborough at all. I’m hoping these images come to fruition under David Storch #swfc

New update from David Storch, promising “exciting news” for Sheffield Wednesday fans next week #SWFC
David Storch@storchyowl

Although still basking in the glow from our dream like Saturday, this past week was one of rolling up our sleeves and going to work in preparation for the summer and beyond. David B, @michaelestorch and I met with the leadership team advancing our plans for the training pitch, summer training schedule for the squad, spent time assessing current squad, addressed multiple work plans for Hillsborough, starting with critical safety items work beginning this Monday and more. Our countdown till start of Cup series is 91 calendar days . Lots to do in short window but the team led by David Bruce is committed to do so. We will keep you updated on our progress. Expect some exciting news next week . Wishing everyone all the best, David, Michael, Tom and David #WAWAW

Over a week has passed since what I’d genuinely describe as the greatest atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed at Hillsborough. As a fan, being trusted with the @SWFCTrust socials to promote Honolulu Wednesday backed by the club itself was surreal. It was probably the best day I’ve ever experienced following Sheffield Wednesday. Relief. Optimism. Joy. Goosebumps all over the stadium. For a long time, my involvement has largely been organising protests, pushing campaigns and fighting for change. Sometimes that inevitably became divisive, even when the intentions were always about protecting the future of our club. It’s caused me issues both at home and in my real job. But we all did it for days like that. For a fresh start. For hope. For the future of a very special football club. For the first time in a very long time, I genuinely love my football club again. And honestly, I cannot wait to see what’s coming. #SWFC

Civil servant here. If Farage wins the next GE, he'll call us all back to the office 5 days a week. The CS will then be on the verge of collapse, as thousands of people will either retire immediately or quit, due to the removal of WFH. Cheap optics will meet reality.

Really feeling the blues today sat on my flight back to Chicago after one of the best days of my life on Saturday. Wishing we could do it all over again. I’ll never forget the welcome you, the fans, gave to me and my family. Getting to meet so many of you was so much fun. After a long and tough process, I want to thank my dad and business partner @storchyowl for believing in this and finding a way. When many could not see a path forward, he kept pushing us all to find it. We had some great meetings with David Bruce and Henrik this week and there really is just so much to do but I’m incredibly energized. This is going to be an awesome journey. I’ll be back soon! #uto #wawaw

A new beginning at #SWFC calls for a new anthem! ⚽🎶 Arise Capital Partners’ Owls takeover, led by @storchyowl, made for a great day on Saturday. I’ve put together a special welcome capturing the magic of a club reborn. I hope the fans, David, and his team enjoy this! 💙🦉

By ending the two-child benefit cap, we have delivered relief for millions of children whose families struggled to provide the basic necessities of life. This is the difference we can make together, but only with your support. Vote for your Labour team on the 7th May 🌹

@kr62209 @storchyowl thanks Kris, many who really do not understand your role were unfairly critical. IMHO you did your job professionally and diligently, and have found us a great new owner. THANKS

Apologies in advance - this is a long one. Now that the transaction is complete, I wanted to take a moment to thank the people who made what many thought was impossible… possible. This has been one of the most complex, demanding and important processes I’ve ever been involved in. It simply does not get done without a huge number of people going above and beyond. A few key aspects defined whether this club had a future: 1. Bringing S3 Limited into Administration alongside the Club - This allowed us to market and sell the Club and stadium together. Without it, the outcome could have been terminal. Thank you to New Avenue Projects for working with us to make this happen. 2. Funding the Club through the process Cash was critical. To the fans - thank you. You backed the Club when it mattered most, buying tickets and merchandise in huge numbers. To the individual who loaned £1 million - incredible support at a critical time. And to Henrik Pedersen - for his understanding and leadership when difficult football decisions had to be made. 3. Securing the outcome with the EFL A huge amount of work went into finding a solution that worked for all parties and protected the Club’s future. I want to thank a colleague (who would absolutely want to remain anonymous) for the creativity, technical expertise and, quite frankly, one of the most effective pieces of work I’ve ever seen in delivering a solution everyone could get behind. A number of advisers were outstanding: Wiggin LLP — David Hinchliffe and team. Relentless, often working through the night. Freeths (Sheffield Insolvency Team) - led by Oliver Jackson, assisting throughout but crucial in the final weeks. MD Law - Matthew Dixon (despite his football allegiances…), stepping in to solve a late-stage issue. BTG Eddisons, BTG Insurance Services & BTG Forensics - supporting throughout. Shorts Accountants - Scott Burkinshaw and team on tax. ⸻ My BTG team - quite simply exceptional. Jo Hammond, Mark Weekes, Paul Stanley, Julian Pitts, Phil Stone, Karis Cordery, Ben, Aidan, Niamh, Harry and many others. And the wider Sheffield office who picked up the slack while we lived and breathed Hillsborough for six months. ⸻ The Sheffield Wednesday staff have been nothing short of incredible. Henrik Pedersen - one of the best leaders and people I’ve worked with. We were competitive throughout - that’s down to him. Lindsey - “Mrs Sheffield Wednesday”. Tireless. ‘Stan’ - Mr Safety. Outstanding. Rob, Louise, James and so many more behind the scenes. I also want to mention Trevor Braithwaite and Alastair Wilson. Both have taken unfair criticism. They did their jobs professionally in extremely difficult circumstances, and the Club would not have functioned without them. James Wheelhouse - for answering our SOS when appointed and keeping the IT infrastructure together under real pressure. ⸻ A few others who played important roles: Lee Strafford - trusted counsel throughout. Alex Miller and Rob Staton - responsible journalism when it mattered. Lee Wildgoose, Matt Bruce, Chris Cotterill and many more. From the Trust - James Silverwood, Rob Brooke, Steven Chu. And finally, Asher Simons - he was on the other side of the deal but was a huge driving force and without a Wednesday fan either side, I’m not sure it would have got done.I’m proud to now call him a friend. ⸻ This has been a collective effort - but one driven by a clear objective from day one: to protect Sheffield Wednesday and give it a future. There is still a lot of work ahead (thankfully not for me 😀) But today, the Club has stability, a new owner, and a real platform to move forward. WAWAW

I won’t mention his name. But when a certain club owner told me 10 yrs ago he’d rather take no money for a star player than be forced to sell him, it felt like an admirable stand on principle. I now know that, when applied to all situations, it was stupidity.

I’m terribly sad for Leicester tonight, having got to know the club so well over the last few years. I’m sorry we could not have done more. It’s a great club with great fans, and some excellent people there. Wishing them all the best to come straight back up next year. I will be watching League One closely next year hoping both LCFC & SWFC finish in the top 2.

@lane_d12 @SkyFootball @SkySportsNews looks like the championship is going to lose 3 'big' clubs, Leicester, West Brom and sheffield wednesday...replacing them with Lincoln, Cardiff and possibly Stevenage...talk about weakening the product in terms of crowd size! Stevenage average 4000, Lincoln 9000!
