I will add to this, and say ONCE AGAIN, I would like to see Jose play a little more often and see if he can fix his approach at plate. I think he has more upside But the amount of agida and vitriol every day when the lineup has come out over the last week is unwarranted IMHO

Quick word on Jose Fernandez & Adrian Del Castillo Jose had a terrific 1st game in MLB. Del had a great 1st 45 PA to career in 2024 NEITHER good since April 1, in similar playing time. Jose slightly better and brings speed. But FG rest of season projections not good for either

@AndThatsBB Around half of all 2nd round picks don’t even make it to mlb. So I’d say a positive career war, and being better than at least half of 2nd rounders drafted would not make him a bust (he’s also a career 2.5 war) but that’s pulling hairs.

The 2020s DBacks prospect class is very interesting now that everything's shaken out. Thomas, Robinson, and Lawlar are all big busts, but it doesn't really matter because Carroll and Perdomo are such big hits.

I would not be surprised to see Carlos Virahonda shoot way up in the dbacks prospect rankings. Has been fantastic this year. Has added some real pop on top of his fantastic arm and defense

Waldschmidt played last night got called up mid day and they usually give prospects a day to acclimate when they get called up. Yet people are throwing a fit that he’s not starting tonight. Insufferable sometimes man
