@Siddurp2 I think they provide a useful insight into your progress over time
English

@Metabolic1992 Is this session to session increases or week to week?

Before you hit your top working set of any movement, you need to know your log book numbers.
You should be targeting a +1 or progress in some form (more controlled reps maybe). Ideally a +1 or slight increase in the load keeping reps the same.
You need to focus. You need to be in the game. That +1 is where progress happens.
I see so many people just randomly picking weights doing random reps. Some of them are having conversations while doing their working sets.
You'll only do this if you want to waste your time and look the same.
Why would you?

@EliteDanno Crazy to think you can do the same thing every day and expect different results.

@askcoachboye What about if I walk while eating chocolate bars.
I am in perfect equilibrium.

→ 10k steps burns roughly 300–500 calories.
→ 1 pound of fat stores about 3,500 calories.
→ So, technically:
10k steps a day for about 9 days is roughly 1 pound of fat lost. Great yeah... ?
Now, if one small snack = 600 calories
If you decided to reward yourself for a job well done... That's: 400−600=−200
Well.....Congratulations.
10k steps completed successfully. Progress deleted successfully 🌚🤭
Read that again🦍

@rand_longevity Is it in the interest of the elite to keep 7 billion people alive indefinitely? Probably not. This makes me doubtful.
English

@abradomine This was the turning point for me.
I want to feel better day to day.
English

@rand_longevity I think curing ageing is inevitable eventually.
The real question is whether we extend human life… or just create digital copies that think they’re us.
English

@stijnnoorman A lot of life is just reducing the number of times your feelings are allowed to overrule your priorities.

@toylan20 Peace only exists because somewhere, someone is capable of enforcing it.

Nietzsche’s advice on marriage.
“Marriage as a long conversation.
When entering a marriage, one should ask the question: do you think you will be able to have good conversations with this woman right into old age?
Everything else in marriage is transitory, but most of the time in interaction is spent in conversation.”

@karunpal I’m starting to think peace of mind is less about adding more to life and more about removing the constant low level noise we’ve normalised.
English

Don’t force life, flow. Be slow when the world is addicted to fast. Don’t follow trends. Create your own rhythm. Go to bed early. Wake up before the noise. Eat simple foods. Go for long walks without your phone. Read thick books nobody has the attention span for anymore. Keep your circle small. Keep your life private. Avoid drama at all costs. The world will call it boring. But trust me, there is nothing boring about having a calm nervous system. A clear mind. A healthy body. A peaceful life that actually feels like yours. Most people are overstimulated, anxious, distracted, disconnected from themselves. You don’t need more of that. What you genuinely need is depth. Stillness. Meaning. And you can choose the life that makes you feel more like yourself. Depth over noise. Always...

@Thora_Strong1 The “All or nothing mindset” is a trap don’t fall for it.
Get back on track as many times as it takes.
