In Japan I just put “personal reasons” and I’ve never once ben denied 😂 In fact if I don’t take a minimum of 3 full weeks off in the span of 2 years I get written up.

PTO is Paid Time Off And it is a request. They are in fact allowed to ask what the reason is. It's actually pretty standard. Ive never had a job not ask for the reason for a request. And guess what, they have the right to deny it too 😱 You also have the right to walk out the door if they do. It works both ways.
