No one will see this but I'll say it anyway: "Prot" is not actually short for "Protestant." It's a slur and anyone who uses it demonstrates their hardheartedness and their inability to engage in a constructive debate and unify in Christian faith.

This woman was not arrested for miscarrying her baby. There was a year long investigation after she gave birth to an infant, left it to die outside by an embankment, called emergency services, and DID NOT TELL THEM, and left the baby when she went to the hospital. Be honest.
Joyce Carol Oates@JoyceCarolOates

Seriously—what is a woman who has miscarried supposed to do “legally “ in a red state? If she is in the care of a doctor does he report her? Does an ER report her? The grief & physical distress of a miscarriage in itself is a punishment. But the state wants to punish her more? Does this include MAGA women? Why do they vote for this?

@SWalzzzz @HazelAppleyard Yes, we do. Not only was he an ass for doing that after she'd only had 5 hours sleep, when she was clearly upset and not laughing, he showed no remorse and continued to find enjoyment in her suffering! That is 💯abuse.

@HazelAppleyard Jumping to “abuse” is ridiculous 🙄 We don’t have nearly enough context to label this man an “abuser”.

@allie__voss That's not a display of "invisible labor" (the only thing we know for sure that the wife was responsible for in the video was cooking dinner, clearly visible) but what it is a display of is a young married man who, by all appearances, lives like he's still single.

@CryptoInvstr64 @Geniustechw I liked her first solo album, but when she released the second one and bragged about how she recorded it in just two weeks and it was so terrible (she should've spent more than two weeks on it!) I was done.

@Geniustechw Initially, and I do mean when she was part of Destiny's Child, they had a catchy sound and put out a few danceable tunes. As a solo artist she just got way too self-absorbed and both hers and Jay-Z's egos got the best of them.

@LeahDiscovers I don't think this counts as a role reversal since they're not married. And, as such, he gets nothing. If he wants to break up over it, she should cut her losses and let him go.

That's kinda what you get for having a house husband and playing house before he married you. Don't live with this kind of man unless you are willing to foot the bill.

@HazelAppleyard Whether you're "compatible" or not is 💯 a choice. They can work out a compromise on the frequency & a plan to achieve their goal. He's probably going to have to give up some/all of his "kinks." He is not entitled to anything that would make his wife uncomfortable or hurt.

@Cr7Godbrand @Han81 But that's as far as it goes, asking or telling. You can't force her to comply or obey. That's on her. So you have no controlling "power over" her.

@Cr7Godbrand @Han81 You've got it backwards. With responsibility comes power. (That's the truth, not a cliche.) The power, or authority, to fulfill your duties/responsibilities, which sometimes include asking or telling your wife, out of love, to do something that promotes her best interests. Cont.

We don’t live in a patriarchal world; it’s matriarchal. Most college graduates are women. Most degree holders are women. Men’s duties are enforceable by law, but women’s duties are not. The courts favor women more. A woman can falsely accuse a man of rape, regardless of his status, and potentially ruin his career and life. The government focuses more on women. Grants are given mostly to women. Scholarships are awarded mostly to women. When couples fight, the man is often told to leave the home. “Happy wife, happy life.” Marriage, relationships, Valentine’s Day, is centered around the woman and her happiness. Alimony is awarded mostly to women. Women receive automatic child custody. Men have to fight to see their children. These benefits apply to women rich, poor, and average alike. Now, What power does a poor man have over his wife or any woman, government and the court of law? So how is the world patriarchal if women hold this much benefit and power over both rich and poor men? Stop your nonsense.
🌞Sisterhood of Wealth♀️@korraistheGOAT

@Cr7Godbrand We live in a patriarchal world that men support and men feel emasculated when the woman is richer than the man so this is how women are supposed to be

@tanyaelisabeth @MellyWigs Misandry is evil. Feminism is not. Learn the difference. And let's be honest. There are both career women and SAHMs who are wasting their potential for those things they're not doing because they have tunnel vision. But all women need balance. We're not a monolith.

@MellyWigs No I’m actually not. I’ve spent years talking about feminism and to feminists who all vast majority hold this view that women who stay home are wasting their lives and potential. So yes I will continue talking to you and about how evil feminism is. Thank you very much.

If I pay another woman to do what I do for my children, she would be called a professional doing important work. But if I do the exact same work myself for my own children, then I’m just wasting my life and my potential. Welcome to feminist reasoning.

@Blueblur_23 A wife is a homemaker, not a maid. They are, in fact, two different things. Just because she is the primary person responsible for keeping house and making it a home does not give her husband the right to be a slob and make more work than necessary.

I’m getting really tired of the mom/housewife side of Twitter. There is so often a tone of superiority that gets so grating in a lot of the discussions I see. Yeah, maybe someone ISN’T a very creative person or they’ve never really had a version of homemaking that allows for intellectual stimulation models to them. Maybe someone voicing their concern that, though they see the value in homemaking, it doesn’t seem intellectually stimulating enough to them is an opportunity to help them, not belittle them. People, yes even women *gasp*, are different from one another and some personalities are going to struggle more than others with this stuff. Why is there so much judgment and hostility and denigration of each other in this space? You don’t make a great impression of what kind of community a woman who is thinking about being a homemaker could look forward to having. “Oh you’re struggling? Clearly you’re just doing everything wrong.” Okay but are you going to actually be helpful or just flex your superiority?

A Christian woman should absolutely be willing to forgive her husband for infidelity. Keeping your family together should be your top priority, especially when you have children. A lot of Christian women believe that a man's infidelity justifies divorce, but this is not biblical.

Being a wife and mother is a beautiful thing, but we were all made by God for "more." We are not meant to be isolated within our own immediate families. We are all meant to be part of a larger community in some way, whether it's a job, charity work, serving in the church, etc.
Tanya@Tanyaelisabeth

“You were made for more” But what if we weren’t made for more? What if you were made to just be a mother? A wife? A caregiver? A woman? What exactly is so wrong with any of these?
