@phat3lvis @ScottyTheMenace @Mrgunsngear The point is that defendants don’t go in front of a grand jury. The CASE may be presented to a grand jury.

@ScottyTheMenace @StephD7278 @Mrgunsngear In Texas, regardless of the circumstances, if you shoot and kill someone, there will be a Grand Jury convened to determine whether or not you will be a defendant. Now add political climate, a DA with an agenda, and a liberal jury, and you could be in trouble.

A criminal ran from the police in Garland, TX yesterday and crashed his vehicle in the process.
He then attempted to carjack the vehicle shown here and the driver, with his family in the car, told them to run whilst he handled the armed criminal.
Handle him he did. The driver pulled his concealed carry gun and shot the armed would be carjacker - killing him on the side of the road 🇺🇸
Police have stated they don't expect the father to face any criminal charges.
Carry accordingly....

@phat3lvis @Mrgunsngear Uhhh defendants don’t go in front of grand juries.
English

@Mrgunsngear Not expecting to face charges is not the whole story.
He will still have to get a lawyer and still go before a grand jury to determine if that expectation holds.

@VirginiaCat @greg_price11 Barret called her out once before. You would think that was humiliating enough not to do that garbage again.
English

@greg_price11 They are going to start writing like this to show how incompetent she is.

What is crazy is if you look her education and resume you would think she is some legal savant, which she absolutely is not. It just cements the fact that these IVY league institutions are now just educating activists, not scholars. She will never be able to hold a candle to the likes of Alito or Thomas.

I met a guy online. We emailed and messaged (this was before texting was a thing) and went out a few times. I liked him, but I wasn’t sure about it. He called me pretty regularly (again, this was pre-texting). Then one day, the calls stopped.
That night, I called and left him a

@JasmineForUS She may have had to be 10x better but she wasn’t. Go to a Supreme Court argument and watch the other justices when she’s speaking. It’s painful for them.

The meltdown over Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is truly something EVERYONE needs to pay attention to. You see, as the first & only black woman to ever serve on the court, she had to be 10 times better than most… She continues to flex her brilliance in oral arguments & many dissents.
Please note that by the time a black woman ascends to a powerful position, she Definitely Earned It… if you have any questions… let’s talk about Senator, now Secretary Mullin… or please pull the resumes of some of the other justices before entering this chat… actually just don’t, it’s not a debate, these are FACTS (alternative facts = LIES).

@DarrigoMelanie Enhanced ID (not enhanced Real ID) is valid for cross border auto crossings. Not the same as Real ID. The additional charge is because it acts like a passport (that you also pay for). Since you lie in your #1 point we’ll just ignore everything else you say.
English

Maybe read your bill?
The accepted forms of ID to vote under the SAVE Act:
1. Enhanced REAL ID: Only available in 5 states. Costs up to $50 (poll tax) and requires a birth certificate which 40M Americans lack access to.
2. Valid passport: 146M Americans do not have and costs at least $130 (poll tax). Trump gutted the agencies issuing them.
3. U.S. military ID card presented with military record of service.
4. Government-issued photo ID showing place of birth: 300M Americans do not have one, and costs up to $50 (poll tax).
5. Non-Enhanced REAL ID driver’s license, state ID, or tribal ID shown in conjunction with a birth certificate (40M lack access to) that matches your last name (which 69M women do not have due to marriage) and other forms of documentation, and which require a cost to obtain (poll tax).
If this was truly a voter ID bill, it would provide every eligible voter in the U.S. a voter ID, and provide them at no cost to align with the 24th Amendment — so why doesn’t your bill do that if voter ID is so popular?

I have questions. This story about the SAVE Act doesn’t add up.
I left my first marriage because of brutal domestic violence. My ex had the marriage license when I left. That did not stop anything. I went to Dallas County myself and requested a certified copy.
That is why this story does not make sense.
If the marriage license was truly never filed, she would not have been able to go to the Social Security Administration or the Texas Department of Public Safety and change her name. Both require a certified marriage certificate, which only exists after the signed license is returned and recorded by the county clerk.
So if her name was actually changed, that means the marriage was filed and recorded. And if it was recorded, she can request a certified copy from the county clerk at any time. Just as I did.
One person walking off with a piece of paper does not erase the record or make it impossible to prove who you are.
People can debate the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act if they want. But claiming a woman would never be able to vote again because a marriage license disappeared, I’m sorry, simply is not factual.
