Even in 2025–26, with a drifted H3N2 strain, vaccination still cut flu hospitalization by about 30% in adults and 41% in children. Among hospitalized adults, prior vaccination was associated with 26% lower ICU admission and 31% lower flu death.
That is not “nothing.” That is fewer people in ICUs and fewer families planning funerals.

Local health officials say federal cuts to their funding, along with cuts at CDC (who often help with disease investigation), are driving a spike is syphilis and other STDs. Sadly, many separate data points indicate that absent significant change in federal funding and priorities, many children will be harmed, and America will actually be far unhealthier over the next few years (and beyond). 😞

I was looking at the WHO data on polio cases from 1988 to today yesterday. It's a 99% decrease from 350,000 cases to a handful. The only people "killing more people than polio" are the ones convincing parents not to vaccinate, leading to outbreaks in places that had been safe for decades. The threat isn't the vaccine. It's the misinformation.
