These results are much more realistic than we saw last week. In a state like Ohio, those undecideds are much more likely to go to the Rs than the Ds. I think we are going to have yet another state where lots of money will be poured in by Democrats.

@TonyGrossi Craigslist killed newspapers. Because Craigslist killed classifieds (later FB marketplace). THAT was the death of newspapering. As someone who watched it murder the Akron Beacon Journal up close and personal. Lots of important stories no one read. Didn’t make them meaningless.

Olympics are a TV show. Not a writing experience. Corrupt sports editors blew budget on covering Olympics simply to travel the globe. Part of the demise of newspapering.

Watching the Opening Ceremonies and thinking back to the 13 Olympics I covered. Favorite OC memory was when the Spanish archer shot a flaming arrow into the night and lit the cauldron in Barcelona in 1992. It was breathtaking.

Guys, stop telling me about the immigration bill they tried to negotiate in the months before the election. Yes, Trump scuttled it because he wanted the issue, but that bill came way too late and after the public opinion damage was already done.

Biden’s absence of border policy and Trump’s overzealous deportation policies happening back to back allow us to identify a very clear sweet spot with the American public: A secure border. Deport criminals. Don’t flood American streets with masked agents who shoot Americans in the service of an inhumane deportation regime. Find a path to citizenship for otherwise law abiding undocumented immigrants who have been in the country a long time.
