Not likely to be recognized during the year-end awards season, but Anthony Dod Mantle’s cinematography for 28 YEARS LATER is visionary — kinetic, fresh, and immersive in a way I found utterly dizzying.

Netflix, by far the largest streamer, absorbing HBO Max, which is the third largest, really should set off monopoly alarm bells, not to mention what this terrible news could be for movie theaters and physical media.

There is just no way that eliminating film/TV criticism is absolutely monetarily necessary. This is a pointed choice happening across the industry
