You want the NATO allies to join you in a war you started without ever consulting these allies about the war or explaining your war aims. We’re meant just to meekly fall in line. You recently supported a US invasion of a NATO ally (Denmark/Greenland) but now you want these same allies to join your war. Your president disparaged and misrepresented the role of NATO allies in Afghanistan. But now you want them to join with you again in a war of your making. You went to war with Iran without a thought of how to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and without involving your allies in the matter. But now you want the NATO allies to bail you out, even though there’s still no plan for Hormuz. You want the NATO allies to join you in a war in which you still cannot articulate the endgame. Or what victory would look like. You went to war thinking the Iranian regime would quickly topple, that Tehran would not attack the Gulf States or close Hormuz. Why would we align with such Epic Stupidity? You and other know-nothing blowhards started this war all on your own. You can finish it on your own. If you’re able to …
Lindsey Graham@LindseyGrahamSC

Just spoke to @POTUS about our European allies’ unwillingness to provide assets to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning, which benefits Europe far more than America. I have never heard him so angry in my life. I share that anger given what’s at stake. The arrogance of our allies to suggest that Iran with a nuclear weapon is of little concern and that military action to stop the ayatollah from acquiring a nuclear bomb is our problem not theirs is beyond offensive. The European approach to containing the ayatollah’s nuclear ambitions have proven to be a miserable failure. The repercussions of providing little assistance to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning are going to be wide and deep for Europe and America. I consider myself very forward-leaning on supporting alliances, however at a time of real testing like this, it makes me second guess the value of these alliances. I am certain I am not the only senator who feels this way.

@NJK20171 I suspect LR himself doesn’t believe this squad is good enough to make the play-offs, but no harm in trying. All about next season.

Thank God for that. Surprised if they actually have passports.

🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING: MAGA Tourists Boycott Spain And UK This Summer, Furious Those Countries Refuse To Support Trump DES MOINES, IA — In a bold act of international retaliation, several MAGA supporters confirmed this week that they will not be traveling to Spain or the United Kingdom this summer, citing deep frustration that these countries “won’t get on board” with what President Trump is doing. “We’re tired of countries that refuse to support Trump,” said one attendee, adjusting his red cap with the solemnity of a statesman. “So we’re staying home. No Spain. No UK. Let them enjoy their little castles and beaches without us.” Analysts say the boycott is expected to be highly sustainable, as it requires no planning, no passport, and no exposure to unfamiliar food that is not deep fried. The decision is also being praised for its practical realism. Multiple supporters confirmed that even if the urge to visit Europe struck unexpectedly, the lack of available funds would immediately restore ideological clarity. “It’s not just the principle,” said another participant, wearing a shirt that loudly declared he would rather be Russian than a Democrat. “It’s also that there’s no room in the budget. And if I take more than two days off, I’m pretty sure my boss replaces me with some other guy from the neighborhood who already owns steel toe boots and has never ‘needed a mental health day’ in his life.” European tourism officials responded with measured calm, noting that the boycott may lead to slightly shorter lines at museums, and a marginally quieter summer in coastal towns that were not previously overwhelmed by visitors from places without paid leave. At press time, the boycott was reportedly expanding to include France, Italy, and any country where the average worker can take a vacation without having to negotiate it like a hostage release. @Steve1871 @princessmacd I comment/criticise/moan, call it what you like. I also invest in a season ticket and occasionally travel away. The day I don't comment/criticise/moan will be the day I don't go; is that what Richardson would prefer? My advice to him; build a fan base, don't decimate it.

"It's always the same people." Those 'people' Mr Richardson bought a ticket or a ST & are entitled to an opinion. Those 'people' have spent time/money travelling from Kent, Devon or wherever & haven't felt entertained. Condescension/patronisation towards fans doesn't look good.

Q on social media LR: social media prob the worst thing ever invented. People go on there to be negative. He doesn't go on there "It's easy to be negative" Talks about how powerful the impact of social media can be (negatively) on players "It's always the same people"

@longlaneroyal @princessmacd The context wasn’t a comment on our fans - just on the negative impact on social media in general, and particularly on young players. He told the story of a young player whose career was ruined by it. It was a fair and reasoned comment in the circumstances.
