The media battered Corbyn and he rolled over. The media have battered Starmer for years but he refuses to roll over because he came to politics late, not to play political games, but to improve our lives. When we stop being led by the media we can see the good growing.

With respect to Catherine West, leadership contests and public ultimatums are not what the country needs right now. The public expects government to govern, not endless internal theatrics. The priority should be getting on with the job the British people elected Labour to do.
BBC Radio 4 PM@BBCPM

'I will put my name forward to stand for the leader of the Labour party' Labour MP Catherine West tells #BBCPM that she will begin a leadership election on Monday morning if the cabinet doesn't elect a leader amongst themselves.

You’re telling me: They can locate the exact coordinates & kill the Supreme leader of 🇮🇷, They can locate & kidnap the President of 🇻🇪 in an early morning raid, They can locate & kill a cartel boss in the middle of a forest... But they can't locate or arrest Epstein clients?

@ZiaYusufUK Brown basically saved the world economic system. Get lost Yusuf. You were one of those bankers that caused the trouble and bankrupted the banks.

Gordon Brown sold 395 tonnes of our gold reserves at the bottom of the market, and - stupidly - told the market in advance. Gold has since risen 1500% and the gold he sold would be worth £40 billion more today. Now Starmer brings him back as his Finance Envoy. A sick joke

@Keir_Starmer @darrenpjones Unless and until Gibb and McAndrew are removed from the BBC you will never get a fair hearing. People say politicians shouldn’t interfere in the BBC but these were political appointments by the Tories. The new DG needs to remove them asap.

No one seems to be talking about the fact Reform didn't have the result they hoped for in the Welsh election. They fell well short of what they said they'd get. They only got 29% of the vote. You can't be the voice of the people if over 70% of the people demonstrably don't want you to be their voice. Why do you think Farage didn't show up? He doesn't want to be associated with falling short. We saw this when they lost in Caerphilly last year, he was no where to be seen.

Something’s puzzling me… if @Keir_Starmer is such a bad PM, why are all the press barons, Russians and foreign billionaires spending so much trying to get rid of him? Surely, they’d prefer a terrible PM that was easily exploited… oh 😳

The last thing the country wants is the Labour Party to talk about the Labour Party. The British public don’t want to hear about timelines, backroom deals and navel-gazing. Let’s get on with the job.

The UK voted the Tories out of office with a vengeance after more than a decade of mismanagement, corruption and scandals, so naturally the UK then opts to vote them all back into power again, under a different name, alongside the architect of the UKs decline via Brexit. FFS.

Farage may struggle to close this down, especially when so many questions remain. Who else in Reform has received a 'personal gift' from crypto kings? My column on the link: thetimes.com/comment/column…

Editor's note: Yes Reform won the most seats But its national equivalent vote share was 27%. That's LOWER than last year And come a general election it will face widespread tactical voting because many voters really don't want Farage as PM
Robert Jenrick@RobertJenrick

Historic. That's the only word for it. Wigan has been Labour since 1918; the council run by Labour since its creation. Reform won 24 of the 25 seats up there. There were likewise HUGE Reform gains in: Sunderland, Halton, St Helens, Hull, Hartlepool, Tameside, Sheffield, Barnsley, Grimsby, and Gateshead. The Red Wall has collapsed. Nigel Farage has built a Teal Wall in its stead. Countless towns that have been Labour since WW1 are now Reform. But what makes today truly historic is that everywhere else was equally seismic. In the Conservative heartlands? Reform won 53 of the 73 seats up in Essex. Over half the seats in Suffolk. And gained 38 seats in Norfolk. In Middle England? There were massive Reform gains in Tamworth, Thurrock, Newcastle under Lyme, Cannock Chase, Havering, and Lincolnshire. And strong results in Birmingham, Southampton, Portsmouth, Peterborough, Redditch, and Gosport. And, of course, a sensational result in Wales. Reform, the official opposition. Labour, relegated to minor party status. What would Nye Bevan make of that? What does Neil Kinnock? And a strong showing in Scotland too. Why has all this happened?

Quite simply, a majority across Britain have had enough. Of Starmer and Labour. But also of the state of Britain. Of the open borders, stagnant wages, dilapidated high streets, and broken public services. The majority has had enough of the weak leadership we’ve had over the last few decades.

When he returned nearly two years ago, Nigel Farage raised the standard. He declared the need for real change. And today, just like last year, millions right across Britain rallied to him. In the Welsh Valleys and in Lothian. In Lancashire and Nottinghamshire. Across Yorkshire and the Midlands; the East and South East.

What happens now? Get Starmer Out; the slogan will become the reality. Already, senior Labour MPs are publicly demanding he commits to quitting. And then a Labour leadership contest, where all the candidates will compete over who can do the best Zack Polanski impression. Starmer has been the worst PM of my lifetime, but what comes next could be even worse. Today’s results give me hope. A Britain-wide majority for change is emerging and has rallied behind Reform. But I am scared of what Labour & Polanski might inflict on us next. And that's why we mustn't let up for a second. Back Reform. Save Britain. 🇬🇧

As I said on @bbcquestiontime - Farage’s £5m bung from some crypto tycoon in Thailand absolutely stinks. And Yusuf’s evasion here makes it stink even more. If Starmer or Badenoch had been caught doing this without declaring it, Farage & Yusuf would demand they resign.

@RobertJenrick Gordon Brown led the UK bank rescue package in October 2008, which recapitalised major banks and guaranteed interbank lending. This became a template that other countries, quickly followed. Bit like you played a major role in opening up migrant hotels
