From Glide to Slide🛝 Even at 16-years-old, Ryan Crouser's glide was textbook technical mastery. Ryan would switch to the rotation later in high school leading him on a path to Olympic golds and world records. Last year he added the "Crouser Slide" to take full advantage of the 7-foot circle, which he used to bump the WR to 23.56m. Funny thing is Ryan still uses some of his glide habits today, notably in the finish. While many rotational throwers extend the left block arm and turn through the finish, Ryan does more of a glider block bending at the elbow and chasing the ball out over the toe board. Even in sliding, the glide is still alive.
