Thrilled to share that my work is out in @Nature. Here, we introduce Peptide Predictor, a tool for identifying new bioactive peptides. Using this method, we discovered BRP, an anti-obesity peptide. Huge thanks to the @SvenssonLab and all our collaborators! nature.com/articles/s4158…

The outer ear is a mammalian innovation but where did it come from? In our study in @Nature, @MathiThiru95 and colleagues find that the outer ear arose from modification of an ancestral gill program first originating in marine invertebrates. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Our new paper, "NK2R control of energy expenditure and feeding to treat metabolic diseases," is out today in @Nature.
Here we identify a single receptor that can both peripherally increase energy expenditure and centrally suppress appetite.

Our latest out today @Nature!
We revisit a century-old theory and show that metabolic gradients work hand-in-hand with genetic&signalling instructions to shape the embryo. Glucose isn't just an energy source, it acts as a major conductor of the body plan🍬

We thought there wasn't much new to learn about the cell cycle. Turns out we were wrong! Our paper (out today @Nature) identifies a novel alternative cell cycle that regulates differentiation, not cell division. tinyurl.com/4a6yeuke. 1/10

In @Nature today, we reported that adhesive implant-tissue interfaces can prevent the formation of observable fibrous capsules on various organs, including the abdominal wall, colon, stomach, lung and heart, in diverse animal models, including rats, mice, humanized mice and pigs.
