‘Net migration’ is a misleading measurement, because it is produced by subtracting departures from arrivals. The ONS estimates that 813,000 people immigrated to the UK last year, with 627,000 (77 per cent) of them arriving from non-EU countries. These included 138,000 Indians, 56,000 Pakistanis, 54,000 Chinese and 47,000 Nigerians. Meanwhile, 642,000 left the UK – including a quarter of million British nationals and 118,000 EU nationals. This represents substantial population change – almost 400,000 Brits and Europeans left this country last year, to be replaced by 627,000 migrants from some of the poorest countries in the world. White Brits will be a minority by 2063, or as early as 2050 among the under-40s. The foreign-born & their immediate descendants will become a majority only 40 years from now. And the share of people following Islam will go from 1 in 17 today to 1 in 4 by the end of this century, potentially as high as 1 in 3 among the young. Nobody in the old parties will tell you this. Nobody in the 'expert class' will tell you this. Nobody in the government will tell you this. They want you to look at the headline net migration figure and think: "It's coming down, all is fine". They surveyed 501 millionaires and discovered they’re happy for a 2% wealth tax on wealth of more than £10m… They asked them “would you pay more tax to fund the social, cultural, and economic attributes that make you proud to live in the UK?”. That’s a bit like asking “would you invest in Enron if it was a world-class, fast growth company run by top performing ethical executives?”. These 501 millionaires aren’t necessarily entrepreneurs or wealth creators. They’re people who have £1M assets outside their own home. That could be an NHS doctor with a 2 bed flat in Hackney and a family home in Essex. Almost none of them would be building a £10m+ business with investment behind it. Its a survey organised by “The Patriotic Millionaires”, a group of less than 50 people who mostly accidentally got rich during the dot-com era and took advantage of the lower taxes and stronger economic conditions of the day and now want to make things harder for the next generation of entrepreneurs. They had a meeting last year and only 20 people turned up. Their average net worth is about £3M and they won’t personally be impacted by wealth taxes on their more successful peers. If they were serious they’d start by paying the difference in entrepreneurs relief and corp tax they benefited from … don’t hold your breath. The poster boys for Patriotic Millionaires… Gary Stevenson who thinks a poetry phd should be earning in the 1%. Dale Vince who’s whole business runs on government funding. And Phil White who got lucky on a passive private equity deal. The most patriotic story in the UK is Robin Hood. He took back the money from the greedy tax collector Sheriff and gave it back to the business owners who had made something in the real economy. Wealth taxes will destroy the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the UK and serious business people know it. Don’t fall for this fake survey.

The most horrifying thing in this article, out of the dozens of nightmarish details, is that some of these men are selling their children to family members. Imagine that your relative needs help and you offer it only on the condition that they sell their children to you as slaves. And then imagine that they actually do it. Totally unthinkable all around. But this is the “culture” in places like Afghanistan. And it’s why we should have realized and accepted a long time ago that some cultures are just evil. Some people are just barbarians. You lock your door and don’t let them inside, ever, period.
