Have you noticed how Rana and Arfa or Sayema almost automatically become targets whenever a Hindu–Muslim issue trends? That pattern isn’t random. What’s more interesting is how some voices end up echoing the same lines used by those targeting them. Makes you wonder, coincidence, or something more deliberate?

Lol. She's been crying non-stop for the last five days just because we fact-checked her. Ironically, for the past five years she kept sliding into my DMs requesting me to share and promote her articles. Glad I never did.

@sanjayuvacha Shock? Please. Between studio nationalism, trending hashtags, and forwarded Whatsapp wisdom, this govt has built better ‘shock absorbers’ than any automaker.

@_sabanaqvi Fair point on delivery and crowd connect. But genuine question, do you understand Bengali? Because rhetorical skill isn’t just performance, it’s also language, nuance, and argument.

It just feels like a failed reset move. Govt’s been getting cornered and facing rough headlines, so bring in a big-ticket issue, pull the opposition into it, make them spend their energy here, and shift the narrative. Whether it passes or not almost feels secondary.... the conversation itself does the job.

@sardesairajdeep A cleaner way: treat these as separate decisions. Start women’s reservation (even if phased) based on current structure, and handle delimitation transparently on its own terms. Otherwise, we’re not solving the problem....just postponing it more elegantly.

Why are you assuming delimitation is necessary for women’s reservation? You can reserve seats even with existing constituencies. Linking it to delimitation (and a pending census) is a choice, not some compulsion. And then saying population has changed while everything is effectively stuck on 2011 data till a new census happens… that’s exactly the contradiction people are pointing out. At least understand what you’re defending!

@business What nonsense. The Delimitation exercise is necessary for the women reservation in the parliament as the population has changed drastically. What has that got to do with Modi winning or losing?

Modi is using the women’s quota to redraw the electoral map and secure a 2029 win for the BJP, writes Menaka Doshi in India Edition. bloomberg.com/news/newslette…

@business Meanwhile the headline should be Modi is giving women 50% of the Indian population 1/3rd mandatory representation in parliament by reserving seats only for female. That will lead to women of the country votes for him for doing this reform. Equality is the key

@hshah1 @business No one has an issue with women’s reservation. The issue is linking it to delimitation, that’s literally redrawing electoral maps. We’ve already seen the Assam mess. So pretending this is all pure and noble is either ignorance or blind bhakti. Pick one

@business Usually, they complain that BJP is misogynistic. Now that there's women's quota, it has to be for some sinister reason. Otherwise, their other talking point fails. This is how #farleft journalists make pretzels of themselves.

@KanwalSibal The moment the US ambassador mentioned “big-ticket items,” Vishnu jumped the gun and tried to link it to India’s role in the Iran peace process. That kind of eagerness to read between the lines and then double down on it only ends up looking juvenile, not insightful.

Egregious? It is good to have some verbal self- control. Learn to be honest with yourself. Be a man. When you were badgering the US ambassador about what role India could play in West Asia and he was waving you off patronisingly, you didn’t even register the snub and made one last plea to him with the same question. And you say you did not have Pakistan in mind and asked this question in a vacuum.
Vishnu Som@VishnuNDTV

Ambassador Sibal, setting aside your egregious take on media maturity, asking about India's role in the West Asia crisis has nothing to do with Pakistan; I’m not sure how you conflated the two. I have maintained—across podcasts and broadcasts—that the venue of talks is irrelevant as long as they produce results. As I noted as recently as last night, Indian foreign policy is expansive and purposefully quiet; it works toward solutions without needing to make a song and dance of it.

You’re waving around maps labeled 2025 that are clearly sourced from Census 2011 data and think you’ve made a point? At least read your own graphic before turning it into a gotcha. Population distribution, delimitation, and representation debates cannot be reduced to decade-old static maps, especially when the entire issue is about updated census data. This is exactly the problem, half-baked data, zero context, and full confidence.

"Jitni abadi utna haq” doesn’t mean blindly endorsing any version of delimitation you bring in, without context or safeguards. Supporting women’s reservation ≠ endorsing how and when you implement delimitation. These are three different things, principle, process, and timing. You’ve just mixed them all up and called it inconsistency. And the consistency lecture is rich, sitting on a bill for years, then tying it to census and delimitation delays, and suddenly claiming moral high ground? #DoBetter

The whole “look what he’s come to” narrative is just lazy framing. Prannoy Roy has always done ground reporting, especially during elections. This isn’t new, it’s literally part of his style for decades. Journalism isn’t a corporate promotion ladder where you “graduate” from the field to a studio forever. The best journalists go back to the ground because that’s where the story is.

The RW thinks #PrannoyRoy is a pitiable figure in this photo🤦🏽‍♀️That's because of their ignorant view that ground reporting is the work of juniors, and that anchors are bosses🤦🏽‍♀️"At this age" or any other age, true-blue journalists never want to stop going out into the field.

@anushakunmittal I wouldn’t read this as sudden fondness. It’s what usually happens when a dominant, aggressive brand starts hitting diminishing returns. The pivot to a calmer, more ‘statesmanlike’ tone is pretty textbook at that stage. #BrandFatigue #StatesmanPivot

@WithMeSumeet @SauravDassss Who is ‘they’? That’s doing a lot of heavy lifting here. An RTI is a request for factual information, nothing more. If the data is wrong, challenge it. If it’s correct, then questioning the motive is just a way to avoid engaging with the substance.

There are some videos circulating on X claiming that you filed an RTI on 11 February seeking information about how many lawyers are empanelled by the Government of India. They are now linking this RTI to Kejriwal’s recusal application and suggesting that it was pre-planned to portray Judge Sharma as biased and to defame her on social media, citing that her children are in the GOI empanelled lawyers list. Could you clarify the context behind that RTI? Why did you seek this specific information, and was it used in any other article or report?
