If someone who has played more than 2000 hours of poker or chess makes a poker or chess analogy, there's like a 20% that it might be good. If someone who has played less than 2000 hours of poker or chess makes a poker or chess analogy, there's a 0% chance it might be good.

@ScarcityTrade Because the NAV discount (of a high multiple Chinese stock) could stay stuck for years if activists stop or don't succeed.
English

@StockSpeaking Why do you feel 2316.tw is speculative?

$019180.KS THN Corp
The company is still absurdly cheap.
World of Statistics@stats_feed
🚗 New EV registrations rose 34% year-on-year in May across 17 markets covering more than 90% of European Union and European Free Trade Association car sales.

@drissen_felix Right the largest shareholder seems required to hold his shares until 2028 and it is not the CEO.
The CEO's share sales should continue given the amount of taxes he has to pay, but I don't know for how long.
English

@StockSpeaking The company surely looks dirt cheap and their model mix would suggest that the new earnings level is sustainable. How do you see the ownership situation play out though? The CEO is no longer the biggest family shareholder due to the tax sell-off, right?

@Frenchie_ Pas il y a 6 ans en arrière^^, maintenant changer le choix initial casse la cohérence avec l'audience English même si au final j'ai arrêté de poster mes analyses

@LogicalThesis @finphysnerd I hope 11s are gone for good. 🚀

Why does my daily p&l get messed up the moment Tel Aviv market closes @IBKR ?
Please fix things on the backend.

@_grojo @rubicon59 @blondesnmoney Yeah valuation is still ridiculous, the only big risk is geopolitical tension but risk/reward is very attractive.
English

@StockSpeaking @rubicon59 @blondesnmoney cgeo still looking very strong, buyback tap turned back on as of earnings, and bgeo looking likely to enter ftse100 next month. discount is much less attractive now tho.
English

I didn't trim $NXSN since my purchase at 7650 last year, same story with $CGEO bought at 1450.
Now both account for 43% of my portfolio.
When your analysis aligns with @rubicon59 or @blondesnmoney, and theses are confirmed QoQ, concentration does not feel like a problem anymore.

English

@Im_Specter C'est le short squeeze, je comprends pas comment la boîte est si shortée vu ses fondamentaux.
Français

@blondesnmoney @rubicon59 It could be the same round trip as your $CGEO last year except it never gave you the dip.

@DeepValueStonks And if the currency loses value like the USD it gets worse...
This same thought makes me switch to GARP, focusing more on revenue than the balance sheet.

Big positions work best when time is on your side.
If a cheap company is consistently profitable and the price goes nowhere, you don’t need to panic about the holding period, because the business is doing the work for you.
But if it’s only “cheap on assets” and not earning, you’re just waiting for a re-rating. And the market can make you wait… a lot.
This is something I’ve been thinking about quite hard lately.

@Psych_Bags Read your tweet before checking the stock.
Wasn't sure which way it went, now I know (with 3.8M vol and no news).
