An Israeli official says the commander of the IRGC Navy, Alireza Tangsiri, was killed in a strike in Bandar Abbas. There has been no comment from Iran yet, or from the Israeli military on the strike.

NEW: The US-Israeli combined force continued to strike naval, military, defense industrial, and internal security sites across Iran on March 22 and 23. ISW-CTP has observed strikes in 14 provinces since 3:00 PM ET on March 22. US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed on March 22 that it previously struck and damaged the Qom Turbine Engine Production Plant in Qom Province. The Qom Turbine Engine Production Plant produces gas turbine engines for Iranian drones and aircraft components for the IRGC. The combined force also targeted the IRGC Imam Hossein strategic missile base in Yazd Province, the Artesh Ground Forces 21st Infantry Division headquarters in East Azerbaijan Province, an Iranian naval ammunition depot in Sirjan, Kerman Province, an Intelligence and Security Ministry building in Lorestan Province, and the Artesh Ground Forces 4th Aviation base in Esfahan Province. US President Donald Trump instructed the US Defense Department to postpone “any and all” strikes against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days to allow for dialogue. An Israeli source reported that Israel will also likely suspend its strikes on these targets. Iran continued to attack Israel with ballistic missiles containing cluster munition warheads. Iranian ballistic missiles and cluster bomb sub-munitions impacted across Israel, including in Tel Aviv, Kiryat Gat, and Ashkelon. Ballistic missile fragments also fell near Safed, northern Israel, on March 23. Iran also continued to fire at the Gulf states. Iranian ballistic missiles reportedly struck two data centers near Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. An Iranian missile also impacted an uninhabited area near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Reports indicate that Saad Dawai Al-Baiji and four other important figures in the Popular Mobilization Forces were assassinated in an American strike of their headquarters near the Habbaniyah military airport in Anbar province.

The amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli, the amphibious landing dock USS New Orleans, and roughly 2,200 Marines from the 31st MEU will arrive in the Middle East on Friday -WSJ
