UPDATE: Tempers flared this evening at Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court during exchanges between the magistrate and environmental activists. The magistrate declined to issue a judgment in the case against 11 anti-EACOP activists, mostly students from Students Against EACOP Uganda, who have spent 196 days on remand since their arrest on August 1 last year. The group protested the magistrate’s decision to restart the case, citing that she is new and must review over 400 files. The case was adjourned to February 27. #NTVNews 📹 @BuseinSamilu
