I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public. I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are. 1/ Here's what I can share:

Sen. Jon Husted: "People living in poverty are just not very, um, experienced at navigating the real world, right? I remember talking to one young lady who said, 'Well, I don't really know how money works at a grocery store,' because she grew up and has lived all of her adult life using SNAP cards to buy groceries. You literally have to teach people how to budget ... the buzzword today, let's face it, is 'affordability.'"

Donald Trump on home ownership: "People that own their homes — we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up. We're not gonna destroy the value of their homes, so that somebody that didn't work very hard can buy a home. [...] I don't want to drive housing prices down, I want to drive housing prices up for people that own their homes."

ICE agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis this morning. Get ICE out of Minnesota NOW.

.@ezraklein: “What is, to you, the ‘rage economy’?” @JamesTalarico: “The billionaires own the algorithms and the news networks. They have created for-profit platforms that divide us on an hourly basis — by party, by race, by gender, by religion. They elevate the most extreme voices very strategically to provoke our outrage, because that leads to more clicks, which leads to more money for them. They are selling us conflict right into our bloodstream, and they’re calling it connection. And I think it’s left people starving for actual community.”

Once a political and economic powerhouse, Ohio is now expected to lose 675,000 people by 2050, the state Department of Development said. That's due to lack of sufficient job opportunities, an overwhelming majority of economists said in a recent survey ohiocapitaljournal.com/2026/01/09/ohi…

Reminder: if you lay a finger on a federal officer or agent, you will face the full extent of the law.
