Top 10 #veve comic/collectible results: Last week, I reached out to my community to share their top 10 favourite comics or collectibles. The response was fantastic, with tons of comments pouring in. Using this input, I created a brief survey asking participants to narrow their picks to just 10 from 50+ options. Before discussing some of the outcomes, I want to address potential biases and limitations in this process: Small Sample Size: Only 161 responses were collected at the time of writing, which is far too small to represent the broader community accurately. Repetition of Entries: Some participants may have included duplicate entries, skewing the results. Group Influence: It's possible that certain groups coordinated their responses to favour specific entries, potentially distorting the outcome. Audience Representation: The people following me are just a small subset of a much larger collector ecosystem, and their preferences may not reflect the wider community. Edition Sizes: Collectibles with larger edition sizes are likely to receive more votes, as they are owned and recognized by a broader audience compared to those with more limited editions. Oversights in the Survey: Some significant collectibles, like Mighty's or Spider-Man Noir, were unintentionally left out, and others were added after some responses were already submitted. Subjectivity of "Grails": As some users pointed out, as platforms like VeVe grow, it will become increasingly difficult to create a definitive list. Each faction or interest group may eventually have its own "top 10" grails, making universal rankings nearly impossible. Lack of Demographic Representation: The survey does not account for factors such as gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, or cultural background. These variables can significantly influence individual preferences, as access, cultural values, and financial opportunities often shape what people are drawn to and can obtain. Limited representation: While inclusivity would mean listing all comics and collectibles, creating a comprehensive list would be overwhelming and impractical. While this survey provides some insight into community preferences, it is by no means an accurate or definitive reflection of the top collectibles or grails. No one can ever tell you what's most important to you. *Collectibles with extremely limited edition sizes and 1/1s were not included in this survey, as they are accessible to only a small number of users capable of acquiring these prestigious, high-end pieces.
