@UMC_CommonSense Meh Im not so sure there is such a thing as “a worst hymn” there may be categories of hymn tunes that we don’t know or dont like but in the realm of songs written for the adoration of our God well if they made it to print we should be examining their worth for our souls.

@BackAftaThis @AdamSchefter Aaron Rogers at 41 to lead the Steelers to the SB. A storied franchise for a storied QB. Cowhead dont know nothing. But I would say it would have been fun to see him back in the NFC North with the Vikings.

Steelers never wavered in their belief that Aaron Rodgers eventually would sign with Pittsburgh. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin loomed large in this entire situation. Tomlin was a drawing card for Rodgers, and was happy to work within Rodgers’ timeline. He is a major reason that Rodgers will be a Steeler.

Oh wow. Vanderbilt hits a moonshot to right field. 1st base umpire called it a foul ball, umpires huddle up, home plate umpire looks to have overruled. So, Wright State decides to challenge, but there was no way to ‘overturn’ the call with the view.

@ShaneRaynor @GlobalMChurch @The_ACNA Meh doubt it will be driven institutionally. Good relationships will be local and out of personal connections. I mean we all have more in common than we dont at the end of the day. Institutions inherently tend to run aground and/or bog down.

For anyone who has actually pastored a #UMC church, this isn't any kind of profound revelation. While people didn't reference the social questions nearly as much, they did talk about the economy over and over again. UMC folks are just better at hiding their motivations

The majority of United Methodists voted for Trump. So did the majority of Evangelical Lutherans. And Presbyterian Church USA. As far as I can tell, the only majority white "major" Protestant denomination that clearly leans Democratic: The Episcopal Church.

I hear that the Gl*bal "Methodist" churches that retreated from the UMC mostly ended up just becoming Evangelly and having zero denominational identity. Example #902834914130523 of why retreating from liberal hijackers never does any good

@UMC_CommonSense You may be barking up the right tree. That being said one sermon is not a predictor of all sermons. Additionally over all presence in leading the order of service could be at play. Finally if there is a thick accent it could be off-putting to certain congregants.

I reviewed a #sermon for someone who's #church said they "can't #preach." In truth, it was a well prepared and well delivered sermon. What do I think is the REAL complaint by the church? The pastor is the first non-native English speaking #pastor for this congregation.

I think Im just tuning out of sports radio til the first weekend of play. Between NIL, transfers, NFL signings and the draft things change on a dime and we have to listen to bozos comment on things that they cant know till the clock starts.
