Good! I have zero sympathy for someone who books a 28 minute connection. You’re asking for disaster. For international connections, leave at least 2 hours. I go for an hour on domestic connections, but that’s a risk & I’m prepared to handle missing it.

@paulg It’s also smart because it gives them a profitable excuse to run their engines 24/7 without needing to be attached to a real flight, allowing them to catch stress and climate issues before it happens on the real thing. A turbine failure on the ground is way less dangerous

Blake posting this as a joke but people in the comments saying stuff like this would make them switch to Southwest confirms a lot of people don’t understand that supersonics won’t improve most air travel. Avg. stage length for Southwest is 750 miles which is roughly LAX to DEN. My unverified Google search says 85% of commercial travel is short haul or <3 hours. Supersonic aircraft are not flying these routes anytime soon. Travel experience will only be improved for the majority of travel if someone can run with Blake’s ideas of fixing the airport experience pre/post flight or we democratize private flying.

Don’t know what happened, sorry. Kind of firm touchdown. The only thing it currently reminds me of is the 2023 Alaska 737 left main gear failure at John Wayne. That was a maintenance issue. Anyway, looks like everyone is probably OK, thankfully.
