Damn, I guess he really didn’t like the color-shifted Ral announcement…

Tim Pool@Timcast

@FroodMultiple @baileylikemovie Is it on par with Fight Club?
English

Why on earth does Jared Leto keep getting huge roles? Pretty widley disliked by the public, consistently involved in huge box office bombs, never in awards talk anymore. Someone explain
DiscussingFilm@DiscussingFilm
Jared Leto's voice for Skeletor in ‘MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE’ has been revealed.
English

@FroodMultiple @baileylikemovie What about a recent Leto bomb like Tron Ares?
English

@baileylikemovie Because he's a good actor and made some really good films? I'll take the 'huge box office bombs' of Fight Club and Blade Runner over whatever CGI cartoon makes a billion this summer.

English

@jfullerucla @ExistentialEnso Yes, but the idea that it could happen post-incarnation (like today) is the controversial/modern bit.
English

I'm not a Christian and don't believe in hell, but this is what I love about Dante's Inferno.
Like the First Circle is honestly pretty chill, and there are a lot of ethical pagans and atheists there. You can have a decent life, it's just not paradise.
Basil🧡@LinkofSunshine
The whole heaven/hell thing just kind of gives bad incentives. If you’re already like pretty bad, the optimal play is just to be really bad if you want because it’s the same punishment! Surely there should be a sliding scale of punishments.
English

@aether_boye @ExistentialEnso Essentially, you’re not shit out of luck, but you can’t be a jackass either.
English

@StrixhavenAlum @ExistentialEnso Am I wrong because I thought there was the whole "if you didn't know, you're automatically innocent" card for all pre-testament humans. Like, if you don't know the gospel or the rules you aren't punished for playing the game wrong
English

@aether_boye @ExistentialEnso So not being charitable would be fine in pre-testament humans theoretically, while not being just would at least put you on the shitlist for a bit.
English

@aether_boye @ExistentialEnso There’s limits. There are still natural ethics to consider, I.e. ethics we can deduce from reason. However, there’s a solid amount of leeway. Charity is a virtue we receive from God, while Justice is something we can find ourselves or with assistance.
English

@StrixhavenAlum @Kokujinkisama @spaceshark23 No, because it dips into other themes outside of faith.
English

Ah, yes. Here's some of that famous 40k atheist aesthetic.

@HMBohemond @josephattard02 >right-wing franchise >looks inside >atheism
English

@Helis40k @Kokujinkisama @spaceshark23 Would you not consider the muddling between faith and non-faith reinforcing to my point?
English

@StrixhavenAlum @Kokujinkisama @spaceshark23 Everything you described happens also in a non-faith way, or is so layered in "it could he real might not be" that it's also reasonable to say that it wasn't faith that did it.
What books have you read?
English

@ExistentialEnso This is the modern version of Dante’s pre-layer with all the great poets and thinkers, and would also theoretically apply to people who don’t engage with religious texts today for one reason or another
English

@ExistentialEnso There’s also the modern (and semi-controversial) belief that you can be moral enough to theoretically make it to heaven without knowing of Jesus and the gospels. It’s a weird loophole, but it explains how Moses and other prophets would’ve been allowed into heaven prior to Jesus
