Ted and I had mutual friends at uni. He didn’t know at the time that I knew he was standing up for me in group chats where students were calling me far right for my gender critical views. See him calling out the ridiculously unfair entry requirements for British students versus international students at the Uni of Leeds on the People’s Channel. Top bloke @NewsonTed

I will be representing Reform UK as Team Captain once again for the bi-annual LSE cross-party debate this Wednesday. Last term, the professor chairing the debate, Dr Kristof Horvath, opened by apologising to the audience that the organisers were platforming "Nazis and fascists", referring to us. This was particularly egregious not just because he was abusing his authority to spread lies and incite hatred against students, but because one of our debaters had close family who had been killed by actual fascists. I am confident that the new chair, Professor Tony Travers CBE, will conduct himself with far more class and professionalism than his predecessor. Reform UK stands for free speech in academia and wider society.

Great to be out with the team on another fine warm day in Barry. From chatting to residents, you could tell things are not working as they should and have not been for a while. Many felt let down by Labour, and were not convinced Plaid would do anything differently. Vote Reform on May 7 🗳️

Out in Barry, speaking with residents and delivering leaflets across the town. Labour have let people down. Plaid Cymru are no solution either. If they become the largest party, Labour will prop them up again in a backroom deal. People have had enough. Wales needs Reform 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I guess you missed all of my posts. We either elect a Reform government or we go under. People backing Restore are either grifters on a nice little earner or fucking idiots. There’s no in between. As soon as Restore stand, outside of Lowe’s fiefdom, they will be obliterated. He deliberately swerved the 7th May Elections by registering too late as a party and missing deadline. He can’t keep his hard on for hating Farage going once he gets crushed in a real election so will avoid them for as long as possible. I hate him and the people who are supporting him and risking my kids’ chance of a future.

Not a word of condemnation from the leader of @RestoreBritain_. But he finds plenty of time to post about fake polls, fly tipping, and banning the Burqa! The Oswald Mosely of the 21st Century doesn't want to upset his core support. @TRobinsonNewEra still think he's the solution?

Unbelievable hypocrisy by London’s Mayor Just last week he was supporting a mysogynistic act of domination by members of the Islamic faith in a public tourism spot, instead of in a normal place of worship
Sadiq Khan@SadiqKhan

This is a cowardly attack on the Jewish community. I am in close contact with the police who are stepping up patrols in the area, and I urge anyone with information to come forward. Londoners will never be cowed by this kind of hatred and intimidation.

People who want to steal Trial by Jury Turn out to not be trustworthy 🧐🧐🧐
The Free Speech Union@SpeechUnion

Ministers have gone back on their promise to allow jury trial rebels to sit on the Bill Committee. In a last-ditch attempt to stave off a major rebellion at the Second Reading of the Courts and Tribunals Bill, David Lammy offered rebels places on the committee tasked with scrutinising jury reforms. Labour MP and former Shadow Attorney General Karl Turner, who is leading the rebellion, put forward two colleagues, Rachael Maskell and Stella Creasy. In a significant breach of trust, Government Chief Whip Jonathan Reynolds has rejected their nominations. The row threatens to further sour relations between the Government and its backbenchers. As many as 80 Labour MPs are believed to be willing to vote against the proposals. @KarlTurnerMP has said it is “clear that the Government is intent on treating the rebellion with utter contempt by ignoring the recommendations that were made.” He added: “We must now hope that the Government proceeds in good faith, but we are sceptical.” Under Lammy’s reforms, defendants facing a maximum sentence of less than three years in prison would no longer have the right to a jury trial. Instead, their cases would be heard in judge-only courts. FSU research shows that those charged with speech-related offences are almost twice as likely to be found not guilty in a Crown Court with a jury than in a magistrates’ court without one. Nick Timothy has been cleared of wrongdoing after calls for a parliamentary standards investigation over his comments on the Trafalgar Square iftar event. The row has raised questions about free speech, Islamophobia accusations, parliamentary standards complaints, and how political arguments are increasingly turned into institutional disciplinary battles. The dispute also involves Kemi Badenoch, Keir Starmer, Afzal Khan, and wider debate over public religious events in Britain.

t.co/bpwEoabpHs Flashback: A Palestinian mother from Gaza brought her sick son to an Israeli hospital for life-saving treatment, free of charge, from the very people she views as enemies. In the interview (right there in the hospital), she openly says she'd rather he grow up to become a "martyr" (die in jihad/terrorism against Jews) than die from illness. She wants him healthy... so he can blow himself up in a crowded Israeli place, maybe even the same hospital that saved him. She explains: Allah obligates every Muslim to wage jihad and embrace martyrdom. Unlike Jews and Christians who mourn dead children, Muslims rejoice when their kids are martyred in holy war, because Allah guarantees them paradise. This isn't fringe. It's the raw ideology fueling the conflict: gratitude for mercy twisted into a desire for future violence. Human life saved by Israelis, only to be sacrificed against them. That's the tragic, twisted reality.

The Golders Green attack reveals the depths of the new Jew hatred. The anti-Semites aren’t even pretending to hide behind Gaza anymore. Ancient hatreds have made a horrifying comeback, says Tom Slater buff.ly/UvunvHE

Out in Blantyre today. A clear theme coming through is that many people feel they’re not being listened to on day-to-day issues. Whether it’s local services, costs, or getting around, these are the things that affect people most and they deserve more attention. I’ll be continuing to get out across the constituency and hearing directly from residents.

This is Shakila Ghasemi, 26. Abducted from her home by regime rapists. She may have already been abused to death. If she were "Palestinian," she’d be on every front page. But she’s just an innocent Iranian - so no one cares.
