Everywhere you go in Ireland today, rows of trees have either been chopped down, chopped in half or chopped down to stumpy things with the fork like remains of branches. It's such a depressing sight.

I have requested full disclosure about the letter written to Willie Rae at Strathclyde Police by John Swinney at the time Operation Gadher was shut down. I have requested it from the Scottish Government and Police Scotland. This was a letter declared to the public and documented by the Scotsman. John Swinney should have no problem disclosing this letter and analysing how it could have contributed to investigations being shut down. I don’t think there should be a problem with that.
