📣 NEW MILESTONE: Engineering train arrives onto the site in a first for the project!
🚞 The train travelled along the newly upgraded Sizewell branch line to our Ancillary Construction Area with its cargo of aggregate.
🤝 We’ve worked closely with Balfour Beatty Rail on essential upgrades to this line. This will help us get more freight out of lorries and onto trains, reducing road pressure and emissions.

@EPWitham Same vehicles again parked on the zebra crossing on Owers Road, WITHAM at 0840. TE14LOU grey merc plus BN10WZX who was reported before. Rain or I rain. No excuse.
Witham CSC Officer Penrose is making an impact on road safety around town with targeted speed checks, insurance checks, drivers using their mobile phones & damaged or faulty lights on vehicles. The actions support Vision Zero & #Fatal4 to prevent & reduce deaths on our roads.
Flying over the Atlantic today and took this video and photos as we crossed over a waypoint slightly behind and above another aircraft. Thought everyone might like to see the contrails showing the turn. 😊✈️
We've started tunnelling to #Euston 👍
The first of two tunnel boring machines building the HS2 route to Euston has begun it's 4.5-mile journey from Old Oak Common. Bringing #HS2 into Euston is critical for the regeneration of the area, with the potential to contribute £41 billion to the #UK economy.
This TBM launch comes as HS2 is at an advanced stage of the reset. Being led by our CEO Mark Wild, the reset is crucial to putting HS2 back on track and unlocking the project’s transformational benefits – vital new rail capacity and economic growth.

A busy day! Traffic control for burst water main on Rickstones Road, followed by foot patrol in town. Visited stores to provide advice on shoplifting suspects. On my beat I dealt with an assault, took intel reports & attended a medical emergency at nearby restaurant. #MyOtherLife

#OnThisDay 28 years ago, Heathrow Junction station opened when @HeathrowExpress services commenced. This temporary platform by the tunnel mouth was necessitated by the tunnel collapsing during its construction in 1994, and only survived for 4 months. Photo: David Glasspool
@EPWitham Any chance you can patrol Owers Road when the schools finish as we still having drivers parking on the Zebra crossing. Same vehicles again and one being a Knights taxi. Unable to take photo as driving at the time.
Targeted patrols in #Witham with increased visible presence around the #RiverWalk, Maldon Road, Laurence Avenue & Howbridge Road to provide reassurance & deterrent. Foot patrol in the town centre in the shopping areas following recent anti-social behaviour #YouSaidWeDid

Not looking good in The Channel Tunnel. Overhead lines down and a failed Le Shuttle unit in the other tunnel. Advice is not to travel #EuroStar#channeltunnel@Telegraph
