@AssisterBlister @SonofOmahu She wasn't fired she resigned. She could have waited to be fired and then taken a personal grievance. She had Linda Clark a top barrister and previously political journalist acting for her. She had the best advice she resigned why did she choose to resign?

@SonofOmahu True, Duncan Garner nails it I believe, her employers let who down - I mean, fired for what, some drunken mean words in response to drunken mean words and door stopping a politician. The first she apologies for, the second is her job?

Opposition MPs taking Maiki Sherman's side doesn't really help her case. It proves she was "one of them" and not the unbiased reporter she claimed to be.

Yup. It means she was going to get fired but her lawyer Linda Clark said if you fire her we will take legal action against you. Rather than engage in years of costly litigation with everyone’s dirty laundry aired in public TVNZ let Ms Sherman resign with some dignity and paid her compensation, I’d imagine 400 to 500k.

Maiki said her role became “untenable”. I took that to mean she resigned, but others are acting like she was fired? Have I missed something?

@JonnoL32552677 Maiki is a bully .. she threatened Smith while belting on his office door at 9pm that if he didn't come out and talk to her she would portray him in a bad light on the news the next morning. She believed she had the right to shape the news according to how she was treated.
