I don't much mind ladders, rooftops, or cliffs. I've also have never had any particular urge to be pilot. I'd rather sail or ride or drive.

@jak_rhodes He had a mane so fluffy that he couldn't swim. His head would float and his butt would sink and he'd just swim up instead of forward. One time we were swimming in a river while he was on the bank, and my wife squealed from a cold splash. He jumped straight in to come save her.

@MacmasterMimi Thank you. Every night about midnight he'd come find me if I wasn't in bed yet, and huff at me to remind me it was bedtime. If I was working late on something and didn't come to bed, he grumblingly come lay on my feet until I was done.

@mgd4177 So many dogs change when they're on the way out - either they get grumpy or just lose interest in everything. Not Moose. He was his sweet, protective, goofy, snuggly self right to the end. His body just couldn't keep up with his heart.

One year we built raised garden beds and filled them halfway with yard debris before putting a layer of dirt and plants on top. Moose noticed a branch poking out of the dirt and spent the entire rest of the summer joyfully digging up the entire bed until he had liberated every. single. stick.

@SturgeonRocket It heartbreaking 💔 to lose our best dogs and friends. Lost mine in March to liver cancer. He almost made it to his 15th birthday. The whole vet staff was with us to give him last hugs and cried with us.
