Looks like Enzo Maresca will be rocking up to The Bridge next season with City. A new rivalry is born.

Unless I am missing something, Maresca didn’t get a pay rise after securing the top four target and then winning the club World Cup which no one thought Chelsea would, but the sporting directors did. He then in the summer didn’t get backed as much as he would have liked (the whole centre back thing) and once City contacted him, he asked for more power and again a pay rise and extension to reflect what he had done at Chelsea. Once Chelsea didn’t want to give him that until the summer review then he started to engage with City more seriously about a future job. To Maresca it must have come across very much like the success of his tenure was down to the model and not his work, so why are people calling him a snake?

Mason Mount got forced out by the club and the fanbase crucified him even though he contributed in every KO tie to win a UCL whereas Enzo Fernandez is publicly forcing himself out and is getting glazed by the same fans who apparently hate Mount #MCGA
