It’s this simple… DMK which is the opposition has got 59’seats snd ADMK 47. The difference is just 12 seats. TVK which is the ruling government got only 108. So they also did not get single majority. So there is nothing to feel bad or sad about ADMK.

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) government led by Actor Vijay, which came to power promising a clean break from dynastic and corrupt politics, is facing its first major credibility test just 15–16 days into office. 1. ED Pressure on DMK Leaders The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its actions against senior DMK leaders: •V. Senthil Balaji (former Minister): Major money laundering case linked to the cash-for-jobs scam. ED has formally sought prosecution sanction from the Tamil Nadu government. •Anitha Radhakrishnan (former Fisheries Minister & Tiruchendur MLA): ED sent a letter on May 20, 2026, seeking sanction to prosecute her in a money laundering case stemming from an old disproportionate assets probe by DVAC. •K.N. Nehru and others: Also under ED scrutiny with raids conducted earlier. ED has given the state government a 120-day window, after which sanction could be treated as “deemed granted” if no decision is taken. The central agency is clearly putting pressure on the new TVK regime to act against its political rivals from the DMK. 2. The Controversial Appointment of A. Arun IPS as DVAC Director On May 25, 2026, the TVK government issued orders appointing A. Arun IPS (former Chennai Police Commissioner) as Additional Director General of Police and Director of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC). •During the election campaign, TVK leaders had strongly opposed Arun IPS. They had even petitioned the Election Commission alleging interference and demanded his removal/transfer. •He was on compulsory wait after the regime change. •DVAC is the key state agency that investigates corruption cases involving public servants. including the very cases ED is now pursuing against DMK leaders. •appointing someone perceived as close to the previous establishment to head the anti-corruption body sends the wrong signal about impartiality. •TVK is “DMK 2.0” and a “backdoor alliance with DMK.” •Many TVK supporters (especially on social media and among youth who voted for change) have expressed deep disappointment, saying this goes against Vijay’s promises of clean governance. •people are questioning whether the new government has the political will to take strong action against DMK leaders. 3. DMK-TVK Understanding This appointment has fueled strong speculation of a tacit or backdoor understanding between DMK and TVK: •DMK under Stalin has publicly said they will not destabilize the new government immediately. •TVK government is trying to avoid an all-out war with DMK by going slow on sensitive probes. •It could be a strategic move to use an experienced officer who knows the “depth” of corruption files. However, for a party that won on the plank of “Change” and anti-corruption, this decision has created an early trust deficit among its core voters. Public Sentiment A large section of Tamil Nadu, especially those who believed in Vijay’s “new politics,” feels let down. The narrative shifting from “Vijay the game-changer” to questions about continuity of old-style politics is gaining traction.

When any party doesn’t have clear majority, it has turned into race. •The Setup: A speedy rabbit constantly boasts about his running abilities and makes fun of the turtle for being incredibly slow. •The Challenge: Tired of the teasing, the turtle challenges the rabbit to a race. The rabbit finds this hilarious and gladly accepts. •The Race Begins: On race day, the rabbit immediately dashes far ahead. Knowing he has a massive lead, the overconfident rabbit decides to take a nap under a shady tree. •The Finish: While the rabbit sleeps deeply, the turtle keeps walking slowly and steadily without stopping. By the time the rabbit wakes up and rushes to the finish line, he finds the turtle already there, waiting for him.  Why do we have rat in this race, rat is simply a rat.

@siddusayss He would have won anyday had he stepped in to elections. It's good for admk that he didn't come in. Else your party would be decimated in 2021 itself.

I wish to differ sir. CM Vijay’s win is only because of both the Dravidian parties downfall. With Madam Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi, I don’t think you would have achieved. TVK must thank Stalin, who moved out of Dravidian ideologies, and EPS, who is self-decimating the party.

So does this mean you don’t know TN had a 10.5L crore debt? Do you need to become the ruling party to know this information? Let the people know when you’ll start giving the Rs.2500??? You’ll also start after 28 months like DMK? Give us the time frame so that we’ll know what’s in your mind… Hope this not very unrealistic expectation. Just asking the time frame…

@VasanthLakshman First try to set right admk boss instead of asking tvk questions. Your party is about to collapse and all its members are joining tvk.

First why only 1000 was given? It was supposed to be 2500… That 1000 also not credited for all is the question. Now comes the same old answer, only 2 said since we allocated the portfolios to the ministers. But before the elections, this was not the tone. At least tell by when the 2500 will be given…

Such a heartbreaking moment for EPS. Just look at the disappointment in his face when C. Vijayabasker name is read. When you have so much faith in someone and he backstabbed you, it’s very difficult to digest…

These leaders once received a great CM like Jeyalalitha and now seeing them wait for Vijay is such a disgrace to them. Is this what they wanted to do? 😡😡😡

We’ve just gotta accept this defeat, learn from it… and forget it as soon as possible. Flush it out of the system. Still in the top 4. Both qualifying and finishing in the top 2 is still in our own hands. That’s a great position to be in. Just gotta retain perspective… not get negative… and back ourselves. Sure, the next two games are tough. But we’ve played well every time we’ve been under pressure. Come on boys! Regroup 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 #SRH #OrangeArmy

Yes we lost… So what? Change is the only thing that’s constant… There is no rule that you cannot win if you lose… I am not taking away any credit from TVK at all. It’s a great effort and result. But that does not mean ADMK is gone…

Here is a clear statistical data of who was the weak link in ADMK alliance. By losing 8.27% vote share the main reason why ADMK lost the elections was coz of BJP only. Hope the ADMK leaders learn the lesson from this and don’t even think of having an alliance with BJP in the future.
