Lly ceo continues to emphasize the need to get the price down. If they could staff prescribers to write scripts for less than what their expensive prescribers are charging (like hims charging 150 a month) that would reduce frictions and get them more patients.

$VRTX says launched their own telehealth platform for prescribing and selling pain drug Journavx DTC. That actually seems pretty smart 😂 $lly and Novo should take note, I don't get why they delegate prescribing to criminals HIMS and RO who charge 150/mo just for the damn script.

Lly ceo mentioned that majority of zepbound patients had to doctor shop for the script, and their cash pay channel is larger than the rest of the GLP-1 segment combined.. Makes me think that is a much bigger barrier than something as trivial as using a little baby size needle.

I kind of think that the market has largely dismissed oral obesity drugs as an important source of profit growth. That's why there's been essentially no net movement in NVO stock price since oral wegovy launch despite uptake being faster than expected.

It will be interesting to see how they guide this week though. I've personally been pretty skeptical of orals. They have worse efficacy and you have to take them everyday. They seem more niche.

@ResearchPulse1 I agree they're aggressively spending on R&D, this is case in point. The question is what benefit are they gaining from that spend? They're continuing to pursue these drugs with dubious marginal benefit.
