I’m sick and tired of nondisabled people telling disabled people what constitutes dignity and quality of life for disabled people.

@Shrink_at_Large Thank you, I needed to hear this today. It’s difficult as I am isolated and unable to read people’s intentions well. Feels like I’ve been alone forever, now too nervous to try to make friends. I can’t mask well enough. Also economically isolated, can’t afford to socialise!

1. I don’t often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital. Here's Jane & me in happier times.

@saj_anderson I believe that you should be able to visit an individual that is receiving palliative care with your assistance dog without any issue. I hade fine this in the past but I am in Ireland, although I believe the situation is the same in the U.K.

@TescoIrl Today I purchased three packets of grated cheese, the Best Before date is the 11th November. I am visually impaired and failed to notice the fact that the cheese is gone off and had already added the mouldy cheese to my dinner! Please contact me about this!

I’m hoping that Marty recovers quickly and that your partnership continues for a long time. It’s quite scary when they are suddenly sick, and unable to pinpoint the cause.

evening, everyone. Sadly, @guidedogs Marty has taken a turn for the worse. Despite my efforts, his diarrhoea and vomiting escalated, and he had what we believe was a seizure. He’s now been admitted to the vet hospital for at least 3-4 days. Your thoughts mean so much. 🙏

Disabled people should not have to ask for access. Disabled people should not have to ask for civil rights. Disabled people should not have to ask for justice. An ableist majority has created a permission structure where disabled people are at the mercy of others.

@Wayfair My experience with #Wayfair has been appalling and there appears to be little protection for consumers when products are not as described. It is to the point where I am considering involving @TradeStandards as I have been left with a product that is not as advertised.

The worthiness of disabled lives should not be a debatable issue.
