@iJordanMoore Bell Centre is only like 30 years old. MSQ probably has the most hockey history. The Canadiens have never even won a cup in that arena.

@PatLaprade $83 is too much for this too. I like the PWHL and support it having daughters, but that’s an NHL price in many cities. Some are even cheaper. And the PWHL is simply no NHL.

Still plenty of tickets remain available for Game 1 of the PWHL Walter Cup Final between Montreal and Ottawa. The upper bowl hasn’t been opened, and I’m hearing that fewer than 5,000 tickets have been sold so far. Montreal drew 6,104 fans for Game 5 against Minnesota — the team’s lowest attendance of the season, though that number was impacted by the postponement and the Canadiens playing at the Bell Centre the same night. But even before that, Game 2 of the semifinals drew just over 7,000 fans, the third-lowest crowd of the year. At the moment, the cheapest ticket available is $83, and that’s not even close to the lower rows. @TheHockeyNewsW #PWHL

@DarrowOfBuffalo @ZacKrell I believe the Sabres force resales through TicketMaster and StubHub too, meaning they could force STH’s to get back in line next season and give their seats to someone else. The data is there to easily see who is regularly selling playoff tickets.

@SunBolt87 @ZacKrell I agree with you there, a lot of our STH’s finally have some value on their tickets after decades of shit and are sale happy. I don’t agree with it but that’s just how it is unfortunately. Also to give credit where it’s due Habs fans travel super well and are a 6 hour drive away.

If I'm a Sabres player I'd be livid about the state of the Key Bank Center the past 3 home games. We're in round 2 of the playoffs and the lower bowl has been turned over to the Habs fans. Sabres season ticket holders should be embarrassed.

@ZacKrell Everyone has these silly think tanks on the what, why and how when it’s simple… FOLKS ARE BROKE! Why not make double the value on tickets if that means a couple extra hundred or even thousands in they pocket. Does it suck? Sure but to them, it’s beneficial. It is what it is.

@ZacKrell Have you been to a game? I get it looks bad and credit to Habs fans they travel better than anyone. But the ones you see on TV are 95% of them. They buy the tickets in camera view on purpose. I’d say at best there was maybe 2,500-3,000 Habs fans out of 20,000 capacity.

@ZacKrell Buffalo isn’t a major league city. Too tiny. Even the Bills have to deal with small TV market issues. Silly to waste an entire franchise on a mini-market. Time to move it to Houston or give the Toronto area a second franchise.

@kendallhosseini I noticed some players wearing the ones built into a compression shirt this year. I got one and I think they’re confortable, I don’t even notice I’m wearing it.

new NHL players will be required to wear neck guards next season while any player that has played a game prior to Sep will not have to wear one and that is so GOOFY to me like the NHL is acknowledging they are imperative to player safety but actually dw abt it if youre not new 🫶

@WorldWideWob This isn’t quite true, because in Canada and Russia it is immensely popular. Likewise in Finland, Sweden, Czechia and Switzerland. All mainstream. The thing is that it’s about watching the players. Eventually you do intuit where the puck is and rarely get lost.

I enjoy watching hockey, but this sport will never gain the mainstream popularity it so desperately desires when people watching on TV cant see/tell when the teams score.

We are going on six years since the @Avalanche last wore black equipment. The Covid bubble in 2020 was their last appearance in that look. They would switch to blue a few months later, just ahead of the shortened 2021 season. #GoAvsGo | GearGeek.com

@BoltsBreakdown I am, I think Tampa can be in 2026-27 what Carolina or Colorado are this season. Even with minimal roster changes. Getting Hedman back will also only make us better. With about $15M cap space we has room to sign Raddysh, and Kuch should be happy as we can extend him easily.

Jon Cooper started in 2013. You’re welcome in Tampa Bay anytime, Connor McDavid💙⚡️🫡 ——————————————— For the record, I do not anticipate this happening, but if it did, what would the trade package look like? Or would we just sign him out of FA, and if so, what would his contract look like? Surely Point, James, or Cirelli would head back to Edmonton along with other untold riches.
Gino Hard@GinoHard_

Connor McDavid will soon be playing for his 6th head coach in 12 seasons, and he hasn't even turned 30 yet 😨🤐

@BoltsBreakdown Hockey is also a sport where -sometimes- you can become faster as you age, as it’s largely strength-driven and anaerobic. Obviously there’s a limit to this, but I don’t think Point is anywhere old enough to see a definite decline.

@SunBolt87 100%. I just believe in his work ethic. When he first came in the league, his skating needed work. And now he’s a dominant skater…why? Cause he put in the work. Maybe the drive has lessened in his old age? I doubt it. He seemed FIRED up about it in exit interviews.

@BoltsBreakdown I think he can be good again if he works hard this offseason and we move him to wing. But he’s an expensive risk for any team. Big contract that goes into older playing years. If he’s good next year as he has been historically then Tampa will possibly be a juggernaut
