Charlie Munger was a philosopher who's net worth was $2.6 billion. In 1986, he gave a speech teaching how to guarantee a miserable life. Most heard the comedy. Few caught the framework. 50 years later, it's the most underrated tool in self-help. Here's the move: 🧵

@PHChess Yes that should definitely be possible. Just make the boundary that it should only use reliable sources, never make up facts and tell when it doesn't know the answer

A very interesting example on the problems of using AI, but not double checking facts. Claude starts inventing different historical results in Candidates and WC tournaments, leading to wrong statistics. In reality, Anand scored +5 =7 -2, not +3 =11 in the 2005 WC tournament!

You can always write whatever story you want and make the stats fit... I would say that 2007, where your player, Anand, drew 10 games, has also higher. The second highest in the modern era, only exceeded by Anand without your assistance... Of course he also made 11 draws in 2005, where you helped him, but there he did not win. The matches where you were running one of the teams were very drawish. After, they were less so. The reason for the high draw percentage this time had two causes I can see. Firstly, at least two players, Wei Yi and Bluebaum, were not in fighting mood at all. Both seems unable to beat anyone, but are also quite hard to beat. The second reason is that Sindarov early on left many of the his competitors so far behind they "went into holiday mode" (that's a quote). I spent a little bit of time asking Claude to collect some statistics. Make of them what you want. There is no doubt that 960 is more difficult and should create more decisive results. You can also make the goals in football bigger and there will be more goals. Does it become more interesting? I would assume not. I had hoped the Freestyle Tour would be a success, but it simply was not. I wanted to like it, but it just did not feel like chess at all. And I have not yet given up on chess. claude.ai/public/artifac…

Clinton did NOT get congressional authorization for Kosovo. Obama did NOT get congressional authorization for Libya. But now, Democrats demand that @realDonaldTrump get authorization for Iran? Democrats/leftists are complete hypocrites.

🚨 JUST NOW: Iran is likely STUNNED that President Trump really did it, he's BLOCKADING the Strait of Hormuz and playing hardball Time and time again, they realize 47 stands on business. TREY YINGST: "These countries did not participate in helping to open the Strait of Hormuz during Operation Epic Fury. We've heard a lot of comments from European officials who say that the president should make different decisions or that they're trying to put pressure on the operation." "The president is showing who is in charge, not just at the negotiating table, but on the battlefield." @TreyYingst

Lack of mindset and sense for urgency, out of touch with real world, hubris, moral ivory tower, corruption at the highest echelons of power, party and institutional politics trump all national interests, and on top of all - the worst leadership since I started covering politics.

🚨 HOLY CRAP! President Trump just confirmed that Iran has pledged to never pursue a nuclear weapon as negotiations continue They're caving. "It all starts with never getting a nuclear weapon...they've agreed. THEY WILL NEVER have a nuclear weapon." This would be huge! 🇺🇸

NBC News’ Kristen Welker: “[Trump] told me allies were on the way to help secure the Strait of Hormuz. Has the Trump administration abandoned that strategy and now chosen to go it alone? Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent: “Kristen, let me tell you, whether it’s this network or the mainstream press, the American people do not have good framing what is going on here. If you were to read what is happening, and I’m sure when Senator Murphy is on, you know, he has come out and said we are losing the war.” “That is wrong. We have demolished the Iranian capabilities. Their air force is completely destroyed, navy destroyed. And every day we are taking out their missiles, their missile systems, and the factories that build those missiles. And now our- General Caine, Secretary Hegseth, are leading a campaign to destroy all the fortifications along the straits of Hormuz.”

Trump realised the midterms are lost. So he went for plan B - corner Iran in a totally unstable position. Hoping for a terrorist attack in the US and then he can cancel the election.

🚨BREAKING: Donald Trump has done the impossible: He has boots on the ground in Iran, and they are non-Western! Iraqi Kurds have stepped up and pledged allegiance to the United States. This is undeniably GENIUS.
