ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೀಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. @siddaramaiah ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವರ್ಗ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು ಈಗ ಅವರು ಹೊರಟರೂ, ಉಳಿದರೂ ಜನರ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿರೋಧದ ಅಲೆ ಏಳುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದರೆ, ಅದು ಅವರ ರಾಜಕೀಯದ ಮೇಲಿನ ಭರವಸೆ ಕುಸಿತದ ಸೂಚನೆ. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಟ್ಟ ವರ್ಗಗಳೇ ಈಗ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಆ ನಿರಾಸೆ ಶಬ್ದ ಮಾಡೋದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ದೊಡ್ಡದು. ಕೋಮುವಾದ, ಸ್ವಜನ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತ, ಜಾತಿವಾದ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಧ್ವನಿ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಭಾವನೆ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಗೋಚರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಬ್ಬ ನಾಯಕನಿಗೆ ಜನನಾಯಕನಾಗುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಗೋದು ಅಪರೂಪ.ಆ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅಪರೂಪ. ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಷ್ಟು ಜನರ ಜನಪರವಾದ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರ ಎದೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸೆ ಬಿತ್ತಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸದೆ ಹಾಗೇ ಕನಸುಗಳಾಗಿಯೇ ಉಳಿಸಿ, ತಮಗೂ ಹಾಗೂ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದವರಿಗೊ ನಿರಾಸೆ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದಂತೂ ಸತ್ಯ. ಹಾಗಂತ, ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಅವರ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ತೂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದರೆ, ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಂತ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೈತಿಕತೆ ಆಧಾರಿತ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೊನೆಯ ಕೊಂಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಎಂಬುದೂ ಸತ್ಯ. ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂಬರುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಇಷ್ಟು ಕನ್ನಡಪರವಾದ ಬದ್ಧತೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ ಅನುಮಾನ
