Last week, I received my 2-year multiple-entry Schengen visa. 🙌 One thing I've realised after applying multiple times is that Schengen visas are largely won or lost on documentation. Your documents should clearly justify why you're travelling, how you're funding the trip, and, most importantly, why you'll return to India after your trip. Btw, I've attached the photo of the huge stack of documents I submitted this time. 😄 Over the last few years, I've built a fairly detailed checklist and cover letter template that I use for every Schengen visa application. This checklist is simply meant to reduce documentation mistakes and make sure you don't miss anything important. If you'd like a copy, just follow me, comment Schengen, and DM me your email ID. I'll email it across. A couple of things that probably worked in my favour: • A clean Schengen travel history over the last two years. I had two previous Schengen visas and always complied with the visa conditions. • A detailed documentation checklist that I had created during my previous application. So, do go through them on their website or during the application process. Examples of some nuances: • Spain: You'll need to fill in your visa application details while booking the appointment itself. • Germany: You first book the appointment and then separately fill out the VIDEX application form later. • Netherlands: They currently require colour printouts of your documents, something that many applicants miss. So always read the latest instructions published by the embassy or VFS before your appointment. Finally, no checklist can guarantee a visa. Every application is different, every applicant's profile is different, and the final decision rests with the visa officer. This checklist is simply meant to reduce documentation mistakes and make sure you don't miss anything important. It has worked well for me as a salaried applicant, but please do your own research as well and don't rely on it as the only source. Langars did more damage to Sikhism than partition - All that money should have been spent on building better institutions to help marginalized Sikhs. Langars were good incentives when people use to travel on foot but now there is no need to waste money……Adapt accordingly
