@Mega_sean I can respect that. The game right now especially maps like perimeter and dire play much more pve heavy with all the events happening. Tbh I hope they expand a pve and pvp modes that add to the extraction piece, not take away. This universe can fit it all.

@SupaKnight87 @MarathonDevTeam Funny how thousands of people comment but numbers keep dropping for Marathon. Just like maybe it's easier to talk on X then actually play the game. Bungie bet on the wrong horse and will eventually either die as a studio or make something new. Marathon won't save Bungie.

I'm actually seeing people complain about the name "Nighfall" being used for Season 2. Are you guys stupid, or is this some kind of collective joke? Bungie, the company famous for reusing names throughout its history, is being criticized for doing exactly what it's always done.

@SupaKnight87 @NextGenNero Well they failed all around cuz now Sonys has them by the balls and can do whatever they want with the IPs and marathon is a massive failure and they are finished with destiny. Bungie won’t be around much longer for any of this to matter.

Play Marathon if you want to. I think it’s really fun, I have 500 hours. If you don’t want to play it then don’t. If you want a D3 it’s not your responsibility to play Marathon. Spend your time and money on what you enjoy

I'ma tell you the truth brother: Marathon has to survive by finding an audience outside of the Destiny community. They just don't like the genre of game it is. Shame, because OG Marathon is responsible for damn near every Bungie game since the 90s

Destiny fans might not wanna hear it, but if you really want to see Bungie get a greenlight for Destiny 3 you should maybe support Marathon as opposed to shitting on it and review bombing it.

@Sotosolice I dont think the post was saying Destiny players need to love or play Marathon. The point is a decent amount of D players actively campaigned for its failure. Its extraction yes but thats no reason to campaign for people to not play the game.

So sick of seeing this take, I love marathon but pretending the hardcore extraction shooter was going to have an immense cross pollination effect from destiny is delusional. Bungie has always had great sauce when it comes to gunplay but that only carries the game so far.
